Although you have captured it all so phenomenally and there is really nothing more to add, after yesterday's episode and today's just felt like putting down something.
Suman-what a superbly etched character is Hers. She has indeed come a long way from the 16 year old immature bully who though was Shravans best buddy in school did not stand up and support him when he needed her the most though he gave it all in their friendship. She has been through a lot in the intervening 10 years and not only adapted to her circumstances but grown so much as a person. She is independent and self- reliant but at the same time principled and has not compromised on her beliefs and values. She values her extended family since she recognises all what they have done for her in the last 10 years (probably to the best each of them was, in their own way capable of) and it is because of this that she puts their wishes and happiness before hers. She also recognises the immense hurt she caused Shravan 10 years back and has paid the price for it. She realised the true value of Shravan as a friend and a human being only when he went away from her and this realisation transitioned into love at some point.
It is her belief in her love and her strong sense of familial obligations which propels her to agree to Ramanths conditions and at the same time she carries the hope that shravan will realise his love for her in time and love will indeed find its way to bring them together. Such is the strength of her character that she is able to stand up before Ramanth for all what she has believed in all her life and come back with her head held high despite her shattered heart.
Shravan is a tortured soul who has till now equated a woman's love with betrayal since in his eyes the women whom he loved the most let him down. A brilliant lawyer and a charmer he may be but underneath he is cynical to the core and trusts no one but himself and his dad. He loved Suman since he was 16 and still does. He makes a wonderful friend and despite all stands by Suman and helps her when she needs. However though he has now acknowledged the love he has for her, which till now he had buried under all the cynicism and distrust, it is still on shaky ground currently given that his father is doing his utmost to uproot it from his life permanently. It also doesn't help that a Suman forced by Ramanth is, in his eyes letting him down once again. Today's episode was just that and looking at the precap I am apprehensive of the way Suman will respond to him tomorrow and what it will do to him again. Hopefully he doesn't revert albeit briefly, to the old cynical Shravan with the power to hurt Suman with his words and actions
The only way that his past insecurities and mistrust can be wiped off is by Ramnaths true face being exposed both vis a vis what he done to Suman and Nirmala. Break he will at that time since his world will come crashing down due to the betrayal of the one person he lived for and trusted the most and it will be akin to a trial by fire for him but he will come out of it stronger as a person ready to trust and love his sumo unconditionally and unequivocally.
Apologies for the unending ramblings but I guess EDKV does this you- makes you think and analyse about the characters as though they are people you know in real life. And this is just one of its innumerable attributes which makes you love the show so much.
