Today I got drawn back to that Promo :
Sumo ke sirf do hi sapne hain , Ek mama mami ke Karz ko utaarna
Aur Ek roothe hue dost ko maana
And that's what she said! Shravan is her love and dream and sacrificing for family her duty.
Even that self respect issue was raised... Pyaar Aur Aatmasamman
But the twist was, how Sumo blended these two!
Jo ladki apne khud ke thoughts ki respect nahi kar sakti, woh kisi aur se pyaar kaise karegi?
For me, this Episode was miles ahead of the last one. So much happened in it...
Sumo realised her love, admitted to it. Got drawn back to her childhood, those 'Ehsaans' which she has of Mama Mami. Totally valid, though. (The FBS were loveee <3)
And also her line - Main kisika bhi Chunav karoon, Haar toh meri hi hai! So true!
But I'm sure she has the guts now to handle this. This face off was much much important! Sumo faced her fear and gave a fantastic piece to Kakaji.
Acceptance is the key to live your dreams. Once you've admitted it, there's no looking back. She now has a confidence to win him, a trust to have him and a good for a better future!
And her line - Jis din aapko is baat ka Ehsaas hoga, aapko pata chalega ki aap kitne galat hain.
And trust me, Ramu has already lost the battle. Telling a person, who's trying and trying to be the best father, that he's lost as a parent, is the worst thing to listen! That being said, Ramu knows he's gonna lose, now just the matter of time till they're together. Coz in Sumo's words - Hum Bane Hain Ek Duje Ke Liye!
Lastly, I loved how she pointed out the parallels when she said :
Har insaan Ek jaisa nahi hota. Aapki zindagi mein problems thi iska Matlab yeh nahi ki sabke saath aisa Ho
Bang on Sumo!! Proud of you!
For me, this was a new beginning to the story. The story took a turn after a complete circle, as I'd mentioned in my last analysis. It was a new, solid, foundational start for Ek Duje Ke Vaaste! And I'm glad it did!! Bravo!
Cheers,
Mahi
