I dont know about whether Love if differently framed can be categorized differently... no clue. But, Love often has a way of breaking or collapsing many things in life to posit itself as the main character. In this show, love is articulated quite uniquely... through the reverberations of the past in the moments of the present. We have time and again been witness of different pictures and fbs of younger version of both Sumo and Shravan. Why so? Is it merely to show how they were connected in the past? Is it merely to show the past as different from the present? Or is it much more? Shakespeare wrote:

Love is not love

Which alters when it alteration finds,

Or bends with the remover to remove:

O, no! it is an ever-fixed mark,

That looks on tempests and is never shaken;

It is the star to every wandering bark,

Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.

Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks

Within his bending sickle's compass come;

Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,

But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

Both SM-ST's love has transcended time, traversed huge distances, erased their own misperceptions and misreadings of each other and of their relationship... yet, it has prevailed. As if this is what has been willed by Destiny... and which they both snatch at respective moments of time. Can love ever be compartmentalized? Can it be categorized? It has many shades, many hues and many shapes... yet, it has never been understood in its finality... as if it cannot be compressed to mere definitions.

Shravan's love for Sumo existed in a child's wish to make the world a far better place for her.. where she might be free to pursue her madcap schemes. Ten-Eleven years later, he is still doing this through a different method...yet, still to make her happy.To let her be the mistress of her narrative... using Daal which he seemingly should hate as it is related to his mother... Yet, for him, it is more so related to his Sumo who attempted to make him smile through an innocuous recipe. It was he who had said to Sumo to make this Daal as your own.. it is he who now again uses it to bring back her resolve, her determination to make her dreams an actuality... to make it your own, do not give up.

Sumo also, in her childlike ways tried to make him happy... but failed... If one becomes Sumo for the other, the other becomes a superman ...❤️

Their love as it played out in the past is made alive in the present... to recreate that love is eternal, is immutable.. .for all times and for all climes.

SM's shayari of Sardi ki dhopp was a clear indication that love is both past and present... it is more than a ghostly presence and less than a scream. It flows in their veins, it throbs in their hearts...

Love makes them exist for the other

They are what they are because their love for each other has never ended... it is an ever-fixed mark
