Another one of my annoying posts😆 Okay I just wanted to get this off my chest cuz it's been going on in my head for a few days haha.
I was just thinking about all the tracks that have played out in the show and how each and every one had such an important role, not just at it's time, but also to build up to this central conflict.
The conflict which involves Shravan and Sumo's relationship and their past of 13 years. The conflict which involves Shravan's past with his mother and the misunderstanding he's carried all this time. Which involves Ramnath's lie to Shravan, bringing forth his father's true side. Which involves the importance of Sumo's mother in her life and how she won't let anything happen to her name. The conflict which so clearly highlights the main theme of the show Pyaar vs. Samaan.
No wonder the intensity is so high right now because this is literally what all the previous tracks had been building up to. The revenge track, the khosla track, the friendship track, the Ramnath track, the daal track (which at the time zoned me out tbh😆), the Nirmala track, ALL foreshadowed towards this and now every aspect is being explored all together! When these tracks were going on we didn't quite understand the importance of them, but now that you look at it, they ALL were so well placed, intricately woven together to build up to this. Like chapters in a book. That only make sense as you continue to read the rest of the story!
The revenge track introduced Shravan and Sumo's conflict and why these two friends broke apart all those years ago.
The Khosla track revealed their inner selves even more to one another, it made them see each other in a new light. It showed Shravan's care for her as a true friend and how he'd always be her pillar. It also emphasized the importance of Sumo's mother in her life and how dear her mother's name is for her.
The friendship track beautifully portrayed the two in their element. It showed how friendship was where it all began for them. Though they love each other, its their friendship that kept their bond, their connection alive all these years.
The Ramnath track showcased the intensity of which Shravan loves, especially for his father. And how important his father is to him.
The daal track showed how no matter what Shravan still loves his mother a lot and can't ever erase her from his memories.
The Nirmala track revealed Nirmala's side of the story, both to us and to Suman. This is the part where I believe it was not logical. her side but it was a very weak story. He said he would lie about me, so I walked away from my cild and stayed away until now... Does not make sense at all
And now this track, so very well highlights EVERYTHING. It plays out the main conflict so well!
This track really carves out the very depths of every character and that was important in order to give justice to each one. Even though I don't give two shits about Ramnath or Kamini, this track will explore their characters. It will show the extent to which Ramnath will go in the fumes of his desperation and ego. There is no love for his son here, it's simply trying too hard to cover up the castle full of lies created by him.
I say Shravan is one of those unfortunate characters where neither parent loved him. they want him as one would a possession, more so, to ensure the other does not have him. She feels lvoe goign to the airport and then stops feeling love enough to stay and fight all the way... Makes no sense!
Even if there is any love, it's all covered up by his madness right now. The track will also explore Pushkar's character, his love for his brother, and give it true justice as he plays cupid for Shraman.
More importantly though, it will explore the deeply routed relationship of Shraman. It will strengthen their bond even more. It will peel off every layer of their characters. If they had confessed already and THEN Shravan found out about his mom and Sumo, imagine how much worse it would be? Shravan would probably feel 10 times more cheated than he does now and all this potential would have been lost. I am so glad they didn't kill the potential for the sake of romance.
Agree with you here it is not all about the romance it was nice story being told, but somehow the last track is not doing it for me, its almost like MUs are being created for no reason at all. She said I cannot explain so he says youa re like my mother you dont accept your mistake... whoever wrote his dialogue...
As much as we wanna see them together, this track is really important and crucial. It's like a book, where every chapter has an important role to play and builds up to the central conflict. The chapters themselves don't make sense on their own until we read on and slowly the story starts to fall into place, everything starts to make sense. That's exactly how I feel about EDKV. No track was there "just because". Every track had a meaning whether we saw it at the time or not. Which is also why you can't judge the show by a single track on its own. You have to look at it in context with the bigger story.
Shraman on their own though are so intense right now and I am loving that angst! They have to go through all this. They have to get through their 13 years of baggage first, so that when they do get together, it will be permanent❤️
I thought it was 10 years and he left afte 12the grade whichmakes him 18 so i am not even sure where the whole custody thing comes into play!
This track also highlights their title song SO well.
Kyun hai dabbi si khwahishein, dil mein tere bewaja? Jaake zara usse bolde, chahta jisse tu raha. THIS IS SO SHRAVAN RIGHT NOW. He's so conflicted in his mind and heart. He loves her, he's loved her for all this while, and yet he can't say it because of circumstances.
Kahin teri khamoshiyan, jeet na jayein pyaar se. THIS IS SO SUMO RIGHT NOW. She loves him, and yet she can't say it either because of circumstances.
Literally the title song has never felt this apt for them. Which is what I mean by this being the biggest most important conflict the show has been anticipating from the beginning. It literally highlights everything. Things were bound to break down like this and I am loving it. As much as I wanna see Shraman together already, this is so crucial for the story. And if I haven't already stressed enough, Cvs always do justice. So have faith as this was bound to happen.
Damn.. just thinking I've never been this attached to a show in my life. Never analyzed a show this much in my life. Ek Duje ke Vaaste, what have you done to me?? ❤️
Sorry for the long post but do share your thoughts!
