They both are in substantial pain.

And banda gussa uss hi pe nikalta hai jispe haq samjhe..

Shravan loves her, and didn't expect to be hurt at her hands.. That's why he blew the steam on her..

Plus it was not easy for him to shout at him,he broke inside. Remember the scene where he sees Sumo in the broken pieces, these pieces symbolisis his broken heart and his expression while Ramnath was cursing Suman was like 'Don't do anything to her,i won't let anything happen to her'

plus in the precap he sees Sumo through the window shades,though he refused to meet her or see her his heart cannot stop him from having a glance at her.

Exactly ! Aur kitna suffer karega Shravan? If Shravan will be in pain that will make Sumo even more distraught. They are tied together forever.
