I don't think pr is a bad thing honestly and he is not using her. She is part of the show as well. Marketing is something u need to do in every freaking job these days. U market urself to get a job as well. I am from a competitive industry and don't see anything bad in it. If what he is doing is bad than fans asking about them all the time are equally wrong.

He is just feeding into what his clients want which I do for a living. He is perfectly in line, is respectful and is in his element and I am sure they decide what to post. I use my Instagram to post things with my team and always check with them first, some are funny, some look flirty but we know that they are not. People who don't know could interpret it any way they would like. He is promoting his show and knows
what his teenage fans want and is providing that - smart actually. He is also new so news channels don't follow him like they do the established actors which will probably happen by his next show. This guy knows what he wants and is going for the kill - I love it actually

That said, the onus on promoting a show always rests on the main leads. This being his first show, he's a lot more passionate and enthusiastic about its prospects. Exactly not sure why people have such a negative mindset to pr. It is a positive word - what's wrong with that?? Right now, on a break but we are volunteering at a school for my firm. Yes pr for my firm - we are global and need these good vibes in the market about us. Does this mean we are doing this volunteer to promote us and our firm as good smaritans - hell yes! Does this make us jerks and people who are using these school kids - hell no. If that is the mind set people have, bluntly put we all use each other every single day to get something in life - happiness, money, food, publicity. There is nothing wrong with that. World is competive and u have to go out there and market yourself - there is nothing wrong with that, it is need of the hour. I work in finance if you can't tell from my lingo till now lol

PR doesn't have a negative connotation per se, but in this context I don't feel it fits. Plus no amount of marketing can rescue a product which is lackluster to begin with. I have watched quite a few shows where the leads were at loggerheads but their on screen chem was bang on and the shows went on to become huge hits.
