Beautiful ending to a beautiful story, Kennashreign. I would love to see more, though - what comes next in their story and can they live free from fear?
This was very emotional and I felt for both of them, sadness and devastation and their happiness at the end. Thanks so much for the story and for the PM.

I really enjoyed reading this SS! Nicely handled and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside - which I really needed after the utter emotional MESS the current track of EDKV is turning me into.

I liked your take on things - from Shravan finding out about his father's misdeeds, slowly putting the pieces together - and I really appreciated how instead of Sumo telling him when he came to demand answers from her, she told him he needed to hear the truth from his parents instead because honestly, she'd done enough already. The return of Khosla was a cool twist and I liked how it took having a close-shave with death to bring Sumo to admit her feelings to Shravan at that point.

Keep writing! <3

Hey guys,
How are you? Hope all is well at your end? Remember me? I hope you do😊. Coz, I remember all you lovely peeps and miss our interaction.

I have written a small, eeny-weeny epilogue. This is for all those who asked for it. I hope you like it. Let me know.

Thanks a lot for al the love, appreciation and encouragement you'll sent my way. I really appreciate it and can't thank you enough for it. This was my first attempt at writing a story. To have such an open minded, encouraging and motivating audience was truly a blessing.

I hope you all are well and I hope to read all that you'll write on this forum. Here's to EDKV and family!!

Cheers
Kennashreign

Epilogue

It has been nearly two months since Suman had come home after being discharged from the hospital. Shravan was relieved to see her recover fully.

They spoke for hours at night after everyone slept in their respective homes. And why wouldn't they? They had to make up for all the time they lost. They both had decided to keep their relationship a secret for some time. They had a lot of baggage to get rid of and wanted to take their time to figure things out. Also, Suman's recovery and their happiness was of prime importance to Shravan.

Shravan had become very protective of Suman. the moment she was discharged from hospital, he drove her home and ensured that a family member was always with her. Initially she found it cute but with the passage of time, that is, in a week, it started getting on her nerves. They had fought over this a zillion times and each time the fight ended in a stalemate.

Also, Khosla was a closed chapter. For good. Shravan had made sure he was put behind bars and stayed there for a long time.

At Tiwari Qila, 11pm

Suman was going through the feedback she received for her order at PCT. She was slowly getting back to her routine after the incident. It felt good to gradually increase the pace of her work. Initially she was unable to do much as she hadn't healed fully. Once, that happened, it took her time to rebuild PCT. The fire had destroyed the whole structure where PCT was housed. But Suman was undeterred. She had all the support she needed. Her family, her employees cum friends and Shravan stood by her. With their help, she rebuilt PCT in a month and now things had returned to normal.

The sound of the phone ringing, broke her train of thoughts and she was brought out of her revere. The name flashing on the screen brought a huge smile on her face.

"Hello?"

"Hi Sumo! Kya kar rahi ho?"

"Kuch nahi, bas dance kar rahi thi. Tum karoge?"

"Haha, very funny Sumo. If this is what passes of as a joke for you, then I must say, your sense of humour is... poor" Saying this, Shravan's eye closed in anticipation of what was to come.

"WHAT?! WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY? I... I HAVE A POOR SENSE OF HUMOUR? Well if that's the case, then go find yourself some intelligent Oxfordian scholar with a great sense of humour. This Dilli wali ain't no good for Mr Smarty-Pants Malhotra" she said.

He smirked on his success. The irritated Sumo was the best. This was the only time when she is in her true element. He wasn't backing down so soon. Not when it was so much fun.

"Hmm. Ok. If you are so keen on me having an intelligent Oxfordian scholar with a great sense of humour', so be it. You know there used to be a girl in my batch. Intelligent, smart, well read, tall, and if I may say, quite SEXY. I think I'll get talking to her. We were good friends. I am sure she'd love to stop by and spend some time with me. A coffee perhaps? As they say, a lot can happen over a cup of coffee." He was enjoying this.

"Don't you dare try to get close to any other girl. Is that understood?"

"Or else?"

"You'll see. Sumo is capable of a lot of things. So you better watch out." she said, as a matter of fact. And with this both of them broke in to chuckle.

This was now a part of their lives. From the time they confessed their love for each other, they felt lighter, happier and peaceful, internally. It had not been easy to reach this stage but they value what they have and want to protect it. Their conversations began with their usual nok jhok and went on to sweet nothings following which they went to bed. Life couldn't have been better for the lovers and they were grateful.
