Hello peeps!
So, yesterday I did a post on ten reasons why ShraMan's friendship is so relatable.

Since it's the weekend and there seems to be no activity on the forum and a lot of people are disappointed with the negativity on the forum, I thought of spreading some joy😉.

So, here's my two cents on why Suman is one hell of a character. (Probably will make one on each character, lets see 😆 )

1. She is a smart, independent woman
She runs a business of her own, successfully. She has people who work under her, who equal parts fear and respect her. Fear because she is a taskmaster. Respect because hell, yes, she deserves it.

2. She doesn't give a crap about society
Okay, this hasn't been explicitly mentioned, but is based purely on math. She is 26/27 now (Flashbacks were set in twelfth + 10 years) and in India this is considered above the general marriageable age for women. But she really doesn't care. Even when Nanaji postponed Preeti's marriage for Suman's, she was aghast that this was even a issue.

3. She is fiercely loyal
The girl has made her fair share of mistakes in the past. But she has matured with time. And she is Team Shravan (even when he doesn't want her to be). Like when she gave him credit for the Khosla-Varun thing. Like when she vouched for his amazing lawyering skills when asked by Ramnath (even when she knew this would lead to a domino effect by way of which Shravan would become the boss, against his wish).

4. She knows when to voice her opinion
She knows Shravan is wrong. She knows their friendship has been through hell and back. And yet, she made it a point to tell him that his thoughts were pretty much screwed up.

5. She is a great friend
She has his back, all the freaking time. No one can deny this. When she helped him in his worst nightmare? Bas. Enough said.

6. She knows the value of money
This might sound like a stupid point. But hear me out. She is repaying a loan her parents had taken years ago. You might say it's mami's continuous taunts that pushed her into it. But I don't believe so. It's not an obligation for her. It's a matter of self respect. And I relate to this because this is something I am doing too. Money is an essential commodity and I'm glad she realises the value of it. Even the 3 lakhs Shravan loaned her, she returned to him. And even if Shravan and Suman were on good terms then, she would still have returned the money.

Bas. Will stop pakaoing you guys now.😆

Fab post! She is my favourite female character on Indian tv.👏
and kudos to Nikita for playing her so well😊

btw, I think Sumo is 26-27, not 28. Shravan himself is 28, he was senior to Sumo in school. Pushkar is the same age as Sumo, because they were in the same class.
But essentially, I love Sumo for being strong-willed and determined😳

Suman.is not 28.. She is younger than shravan... When shravan left he was 17 so sumo would be 25-26...

Sorry, guys :P
For some reason, I assumed that Shravan and Suman were the same age. She'll probably be 26 then.🥱

stop pakaoing you guys now??? Not at all. Absolutely agree with you on all points about Sumon. I am not very fond of the teenage one but adult Sumon is one if my most favorite FLs on TV. I would really loved to see her transformation from an almost brat to this almost selfless woman. Hope CVs listen. What happened in the past ten years?

And despite all her shortcomings, she is a genuinely nice person who just wants everyone to be happy.

I think the same thing that happened to us, happened to Suman. Time. With age, comes wisdom and maturity.

A teenager doesn't understand the brevity of monetary issues. At least I didn't when I was 17. And now, that understanding just came.

And in Suman's case, it was not just time. It was the fact that her people were constantly leaving her. Her parents, then, Shravan. She had no control over her what happened with her parents but losing Shravan impacted her and was the catalyst to her growing up. She probably realised she can't get through life being a brat.

People wisen up over time. 😊
