😳
If I look at this episode as a single episode, it was enjoyable...it had all the right elements...
But when viewed as a love story, something is lacking for me.
I have often heard people complaining about tracks dragging - may be in other shows...here, it is way too fast for me. Too much is happening in too little a time...I can understand the rush to complicate matters before the couple sorts out what is on their minds...but it is a little suffocating when everything goes in a mad rush!
Phew! Just relax a bit, OK?
Where were we?
The love story- Yes! Despite my disinterest in the way a love story developed in the show preceding this-...which I started watching only after a recent falling in love' promo...where the FL has been turning shades of every colour of love...I am enjoying the slow pace of that love story...Where the girl takes a moment every day to stare at the mobile or smile to herself or steal a glance at the guy...or even the guy fiddles with his mobile, wanting to dial her..I mean there are plenty of QUIET moments!
Here! Here, what do we get! We still have two kiddos finding reasons to start a fight every next minute! It's like they can't have a peaceful day between them. I know the couple is different...both are ziddi and passionate and jumpy..But still..
Let us see ..Sumo could have passed a couple of episodes, feeling the soft rays of love shining on her...along with Preetha engaging her doubts, she could have had a sweet realisation of how every little thing about him affects her...Yes, we did get that after the Crash incident...but it was so short and serious.
Shravan can stay the same- thick headed...but one or two monologues from him would do the trick..the leads are beginning to look a little mechanical, unless I start searching for reasons...and I have always believed that the moment the audience has to start thinking up excuses for the characters, the writing fails in some way...
Having vented out this much, my thoughts on the epi:😳
Sumo was a little loud, perhaps alarmingly so, because we can see how unaffected Shravan really is...He needs time ...TIME...She just can't rush him like this! It is absolutely not fair to him...😒
Sumo's knee jerk reaction to his indifference or over enthusiasm is a little scary, though understandable.. connected with how frustrated she got..and when she caught that auto, even I felt like scowling at Shravan...so dense! Can't he see how restless she is...he should have, since he can read her like a book supposedly...and more importantly, can't he see how hollow and pointless his I have moved on' is...When a guy has said I have moved on', how can she go and beg him again?😡 She can only make him take back those words in his mind and get him to start thinking...If her getting married wouldn't do the trick, perhaps his would!😕
Precap- What was he blasting her for? For the tadka she added to his life or the one she added to the dal? Sounded like he was comparing her actions to his mom's...the same matlabi dialogues get repeated now...Is there more of a trigger here than the marriage story she fed his father? I really hope so...there has to be some reason Suman is remembering someone's mom while making the tadka...swears she would marry a guy who would know the specialty of that tadka and Shravan mentions his long forgotten mom in the next epi! Any memory related to that childhood abandonment makes Shravan unreasonable enough to come out with that dialogue...I hope it is so.
If so, can I hope there is still time for a track when Sumo will quietly sit back and cherish every moment of the day she spent with Shravan...forgetting her need for speed.😃
There! I hope I have got some perspective for myself now...😆
Edited to add:
New perspectives I gathered as I read Mahi's post- 😉
All I know is Suman knows two things that Shravan doesn't know.
