After watching the episode today and coming onto the forum, my mood compared to before coming online and after is vastly different. I just don't understand why our forum has become so negative. Yes, I understand and also respect different opinions, I have no qualms with that, but my frustration has to do with the lack of faith in our absolutely brilliant CV's and how at the drop of hat, people become so extremely negative.
Considering the fact that these CV's have CONSISTENTLY shown and proven to us that they are writing a story that defies the traditional Indian stereotype. We have characters who actually have dept, development, vulnerabilities, and also redeeming qualities that make them more humanistic. We have realistic relationships, realistic emotions, realistic conflicts, REALISTIC EVERYTHING MAN. Ek Duje Ke Vaaste is probably the first of it's kind, where we are lucky enough to have a team of individuals who actually give a shit about maintaining a logical, consistent story and not giving into the demand of TRP-driven shows (who have no concept, no logical and actual story development).
Honestly, today's episode was not bad enough to be given such a reaction. In the past, I have seen shows, shows that were insanely popular with no real story, no character development, no realism--NONE of the many brilliant qualities that EDKV has maintained from the very beginning of it's production.
I actually really liked the episode today. Yes, I would have loved to see a bit more of ShraMan, but I feel like the writers had a purpose for the way they showed their "last scenes". There is a reason. Nothing the writers do is for the sake of just doing it. Every scene has a purpose behind it. They are building towards something much grander and these are the scenes we should sit and appreciate before the true angst begins.
And speaking of pace, I actually don't feel like they are going to fast, especially in regards to that letter. One of the core concepts of the show, a fundamental component of not only the show, but their relationship will not just be thrown in there like that. And another point I feel I need to address is considering that the writers have never stretched their tracks before, I don't believe at all that they are rushing this letter either. The writers have put so much thought and effort into creating the significance of that letter, TRUST THE WRITERS to not ruin it in the future as well. They will do justice to the story, to the characters, to us and to themselves for all the hard work they have put into it.
Can we all appreciate our CV's and put just a bit more faith in them considering how EVERY DAY they have made us fall in love with them more? I fall a little bit more in love with this show every single day. Literally after every episode, I say ok this was amazing and then the next day comes and somehow they manage to top the brilliance from the previous day.
Can we please focus on the reason why we have fallen in love with this show and continue to do so everyday instead of falling into such a negative space about the show? I love this show too much to just be in an environment like that. Yes you may call it too much attachment blah blah but this show has come to mean a lot to me. And has a very special place in my heart, so to hear and see things like this when all I want to do is actually properly discuss the show is genuinely upsetting. We can all have frustrations and disappointments but can we not completely ignore the past effort and beautiful moments we have been given by the very same people?
Thank you all for reading this.
