Anyway... like you said, Shravan is still basking in renewed friendship with Suman... and does not want to 'rock the boat' by putting his feelings out in the open. Suman would probably read the letter... but it remains to be seen if he knows she read the letter. And how they proceed with it.

As for his behavior w.r.t. keeping peace in the family... most kids from broken families tend to blame themselves for the family falling apart. He could not save his own family... he is trying to save his extended family.

Ri,

Movie was not my fav either...😆..But I love that song.

U R right..Shravan is more broken than Sumo actually...her parents loved her..Shravan feels unwanted by his mother...and that really hurts! All the more reason why he needs more healing.

Shravan...it would appear that he has blocked off those feelings...but to understand his actions, we would have to revisit a few past episodes...

Just before the Khosla track, Shravan and Sumo were at loggerheads so much so that Shravan did not stay on despite her request. However, things changed (blame it on Varma if you wish😉 but he did come back) From then on Shravan got to see a different Sumo and his misgivings vanished The track ended with the Mujhse Dosti karoge highpoint...Dosti...Shravan, in my view, in the process of exorcising his past demons (unrequited love) has let that part be submerged almost into his subconscious. He is holding on to that part he holds very dear...Sumo as he has always seen her...An important part of the letter was "I just want to be with you always" Well..that was a young Shravan but a mature Shravan knows that the next best thing is a restoration of status-quo with Sumo...wanting to keep it simple and uncomplicated.

Yet, when threatened, he reverts to his subconscious response. Varma, Khosla and Guglu 😆 are examples. Today if he is faced with a suitor for Sumo, his submerged feelings will emerge..

As for not noticing Sumo's changed feelings, again this is a result of their past association. Sumo and Shravan have not really sat down to analyse their rift or for that matter their reconciliation. The Khosla track in a way glossed it over for them so they have not really examined their feelings with respect to each other. How have we accepted Sumo's feelings for Shravan easily...Simply becos we have been privy to her thought process, she was excited about Shravan's return, upset at his bad behaviour, happy with his changed countenance...she has lived through the moments of waiting for Shravan for these 10 years and with no other baggage unlike Shravan. So, relatively, it has been easy for us to accept Sumo's "mujhe Shravan pasand hain" rather easily.

But has Shravan been privy to any of these thots...not really...He sees his old friend Sumo...the childish Sumo, the dominating Sumo, the petulant Sumo, the crazy Sumo, the funny Sumo, the resourceful Sumo and yes of course a new sensitive Sumo that he had a glimpse of but how does he interpret it as love for him. Her antics today can be easily taken as a love for a friend...they were pretty close once so why should he take it otherwise?

So, as I see it...the story is on course... As for the letter...I am not sure how to view it. It is a relic of their past but not sure how the writers use it. As a mask for Shravan or a realisation for Sumo that things have changed...could go either way😆

I would say the writers have a challenge here on how to make the transition from friends to lovers...its a beautiful state really..I am excited without any pre-conceived notions.

Perfectly put, R. 👏

I feel the writers are doing a really good job..

As for the letter..If I were Shravan...or from what I know of the Shravan who likes to boast about the girls back in London...

Yes...She is my best friend...someone whose importance in my life cannot be defined...because what matters to me most is her friendship...Right now, no other emotion to any other person can surpass what I feel for her..about her..she is my friend...I want the whole world to hear that after I have whispered my hatred for her in my heart for the past ten years...Let the world know this and not try to classify it as anything else...I have every right to be any place at any time WITH HER because she is my friend!
