I think the reason why the hand holding is so awesome is because :
(1) Hand-holding is special in itself. And Shravan did it without feeling awkward about it poore haq se.
(2) Because it was unexpected. There you are dreading that he is going to push Sumo away, but he astonishingly did the opposite.
