Chapter 7
Sumo POV
The music started and Shravan held his hand out waiting for me. I slowly placed my hand avoiding eye contact. He pulled me closer, I look up ad see his eyes are watery.
"Lies" my head thought
I look down and begin to dance following the music.
"Sumo" he whispered
" stop" I said looking the other direction.
The song was coming to an end and our last pose was coming up. Our last move was him spinning me around and then hugging me.
When the music ended he hugged me, I was supposed to hug him back but I kept my hands down.
His arms were firmly around me, much more secure than our practices.
"I love you sumo"
I hear him say those three special words. I'm shocked, my heart started to beat faster, I had tears just waiting to drop. I was filled with so many emotions.
After the curtains closed I got out of Shravan's grip and ran out.
I ran out of the venue and sat by the stairs. I couldn't help but cry. I didn't know what the tears were for.
All of a sudden I here footsteps, I turn around and see Shravan. I quickly get up and try to walk away.
Shravan POV
After the performance, I finally revealed my feelings to sumo. I was hoping for a reply but I got a girl running away. I thought I would get mad, but this time I wasn't. I know she loves me, and if my love for her is true she'll be mine one day. I go and follow her, I find her outside by the stairs looking confused. When she sees me she gets up and walks away.
"Wait! Please" I say and she stops but doesn't turn around.
"Don't say anything sumo, just hear me out please. I love you, I always have. I tried really hard to hate you, but I couldn't. These couple of days have been the best. And I'm extremely sorry for what I have done at the party. Something I know about you is you can't hold your feelings, I know you want to let it out. Please let it out. My flight for London is at 12 tonight. I have to go, but I won't unless you give me a reason why.
Take care" I say heading back inside.
Sumo POV
Shravan head back inside. I was crying, so I went back to the hotel. Why am I so scared? I know I love Shravan, why is it so hard for me all of a sudden to accept it.
Shravan
The show had ended do I head back to the hotel to pack, all I prayed for is to see sumo one last time.
Sumo POV
I entered my washroom and looked at myself in the mirror.
"Sumo! You believe in destiny, you never hide, you always shine, so why are you hiding today? You love him. Go tell him before it's too late" this time my heart was speaking.
I smile and run out the door and head to Shravan's room
I knock I bus door but instead a cleaning women opens the door
"Sorry this room just was vacant"
No. No.no.
He can't go.
I quickly take the stairs and run downstairs knowing the elevator will take very long. I run 17 flights of stairs. When I reached the lobby I look around. I see Shravan outside getting in a car. I yell
"SHRAVAN"
I run but it's too late, he got in his car and drove off.
I fall on the ground outside of the hotel on the stairs.
I cry. I was too late, I couldn't even tell him how I felt
"Shravan please come back" I say crying putting my head down.
All of a sudden I feel someone sit beside me and say
"I knew it"
I look up and see Shravan.
"Shravan!!" I say hugging him.
Shravan POV
I'm downstairs waiting for sumo. Maybe she'll come. I look out and see my car had arrived. I look back one more time and see no sumo. I look down and head out when I entered my car I felt her presence, but I ignored it. I began to drive when I heard my name, I look through my mirror and see sumo crying on falling on the ground. I stop my car and close my eyes. I had tears, tears of joy. I quickly got out of the car and head toward sumo. I hear her say "Shravan come back"
I smile and sit beside her
"I knew it " I say
She looks up and I see the most beautiful smile. She hugs me crying
Sumo POV
"Idiot, how dare you leave"
" I'm sorry sumo" he says hugging me tighter
" I love you idiot" I say snuggling in his neck.
"I know" he says laughing.
We break apart and connect our heads.
"Promise you'll never leave me Shravan"
"I said I'll never leave if I have reason, and now I found my reason to be leave. I found my reason to live."
Shravan gets up and holds his hand out for me which I happily accept . And this time we both won't let go.
