Call me biased. But you cannot compare any fiction show in recent times (barring 1 or 2 exceptional ones), no matter how good they are, to the old shows. The older shows of the 80s & 90s esp those I watched when growing up were just pure magic. They were sensitive, light, tight scripted, had a heart to them & didn't drag on for ages.

I genuinely appreciate you taking that initiative, I think I should try that out someday too, I also think I'm getting too addicted to the internet 😆 but a lot my work requires it so...I blame school partly for that too 😆

I genuinely feel like we've regressed in terms of TV since then though, I really really liked the show. I'm just so glad I came across that. And after that, no "teen/youth" show ever quite did it for me. They all lacked the earnesty and the genuinity that HPP had, in my opinion.

I think Remix was decent. Though yes I agree HHP was just on another level.

How do you do that? I cannot imagine my life for a day without the internet.

I understand how you feel about that Sammi, and I understand too.

I don't think I'm looking to compare them as much as I'm just trying to explain my preference for one as opposed to the other. Though I must say, isn't it sad that we've come such a long way that the two can't even be held up in comparison with each other.

I'll tolerate the TV garbage for serials but for the "youth shows" that are supposed to reflect "new age thinking" I have a lot less tolerance? I'm not sure what the right word is but I'm just a lot more particular about that genre of shows, because TV serial land feels rather far and removed for me but these teen/youth shows are depicting a generation that I'm a part of and when it's dramatized in a way that I don't really find honest, or whatever, I find it really hard to watch.

But yo I getcho love for the KYY show, it's not hard to understand, it's a likable show. Okay? Okay. 😆

Shows that deal with sensitive topics are portrayed in worse ever possible ways... lol.. and when Ekta Naiyya started her trend to go on and on with generations...that was boom...
I prefer subtle show.. be it comedy or be it romance. .
I belong to generation.. when Kahanii and kYunki were rulling as I grew up.. yet I found solace in shows like Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai and Khichdi (of ekta.. not JD)

ALSO Sammi, I can't find the links for Gulaal :(

My sig dabba has Karan Patel with a baby while he played with her offscreen ;P and i swear theyre not a couple 😳 🤣
its from Ye Hai Mohabbatein, it was a really really really good show, not anymore tho, would really recommend you watch the first year, after that if youre addicted you can continue, otherwise, not worth it, honestly! 😛
