The Awkwardness continues

Ok, so Sumo-Shravan have decided not to address the elephant in the room.....lol I'm still not clear on whether they are awkward about the dance itself or the fact that they almost kissed....cuz the storyline is keeping it pretty vague.

Sumo seems more freaked out and has pulled back more from him at this point....while Shravan is trying to attempt normalcy whatever little he can....awkwardness dono taraf hai but neither is willing to admit that they are awkward now😆. One good thing about this awkwardness....it has shaken Sumo out of her determined denial mode.

Anish ke lame antics and dance teacher ka random message praising their chemistry was 😆

Today felt like a filler epi in some ways with the long winded attempts from Kavita speculating who the girl is....her trying to ask Shravan, then briefly wondering if it's Sumo, then questioning Bunty too.

And Bunty only showed up in the end....I still found the entire letter burning episode kind of random and contrived. There is an inconsistency between the Bunty from Monday's epi who understood that trying to suppress feelings would make the situation worse and the Bunty today who literally thinks burning a letter about his feelings will suddenly make Shravan feel all normal and happy again.😕

The only good thing about the epi IMO was Sumo's self-reflection in the end....finally she questioned whether she had been too presumptive in thinking that Shravan wants what she wants.....questioning whether she even lived up to the BFF tag when she never even wondered about what he may be feeling or what he wants.....wondering now whether he really has been suppressing his feelings for her simply cuz she asked him to be BFFs.

They punted the confession to next week....are they really going to take a whole another week to get to that scene? *facepalm*😆

Today felt like a filler epi in some ways with the long winded attempts from Kavita speculating who the girl is....her trying to ask Shravan, then briefly wondering if it's Sumo, then questioning Bunty too. yeah it was a filler def but i guess they showed the major highlights so will let it go...kavita made bunty and suman promise not to tell about the "shravan's army girl whom he loves" followed by a speculation in suman's head to be baffled about is she the one shravan loves or not...it felt weird as to why she made em both promise this ...shravan also mentioned a line about their dosti but i hope they remain good friends post leap tho..

idk like im ambivalent about this part bc like should i lament bunty for doing this or understand this from a concerned's friend POV as to burning the letter up which might make shravan go even crazier about suman thereby affecting his mental and physical health..bc there is a chance that if shravan goes back to reading this letter those old feelings will arise and he'll never forget her like going into devdas mode or something...from yesterday's scene when shravan was writing the letter i feel like he somewhat understood the point of suman wanting time and space as she's quite ambitious about joining army and having no time for love and all..idk but perhaps shravan should let suman herself admit her feelings for him this time with her consent and simultaneously re-evaluate whether she really means what she means about loving him and all, feeling guilty for missing his presence in her life, etc...like time is a big healer of the biggest wounds & bunty himself said that he wont easily get over her if he wants to go back into dosti mode...idk if i explained my point well but im just more like having a mixed opinion on this scene..

yeah it was good to see her concerned for him and what his goals in life are esp his expectations from their bond ...like has she gone a bit too far in BFF-zoning that she easily assumed that he also expects what she expects..

Hi AY- Awesome post with so many details.

Sumo- She seems to be more affected by the dance than Shravan. She was thinking about in the night, didn't want Shravan to sit next to her in group studies, and was awkward at the compliments of the dance teacher. It is time for some soul searching on her part . Also, it finally struck to her how much Shravan has lived up to the tag of BFF.😊

Shravan- I have been feeling so bad for him for the last couple of days. Suppressing one'e feelings is not easy and trying to be BFF with that one person is easier said than done. I am glad that he is gonna tell her what he feels. It would be nice to see what her reaction is going to be.

Bunty- This guy is something out of this world. How much he cares for Shravan and the latter knows that he can cry on his shoulders. He wants Shravan to move on and you could feel how genuinely he feels for his buddy. 🤗

Yesterday's dance was so beautiful and I thought it was one of the best episodes. There was no other way we could seen Sumo's feelings. The way she closed her eyes and was with Shravan every step of the way. 😉

About time sumo introspected she should've ideally done that earlier but okay abhi bhi bihat zyada daer nahi hui hai. Come on suno be the smart girl you've been and act upon it. It does sound nice for now baaki yoh dekh ke pata chalega. Sumo is a girl who's fierce about her bondings by nature so it makes sense that she'd actually be concerned about him suppreaaing his feelings and in process actually figuring out her own

@bold - I think this is exactly why Bunty burned the letter. Idk if you've heard about how journaling is supposed to be "therapeutic" for you but only if you do it on a regular basis. So, if you only write when you're stressed, it has the opposite effect. This is because you go back and read all the sad emotions you were feeling and then you're back to square one again. So I agree, if Shravan reads that letter over and over again, he would feel burdened still because he knows that he wasn't able to say it to Sumo. But a part of me wishes that Bunty hadn't burnt the letter because imagine if Shravan read it while he was dating Sumo...he'd laugh on how he though they would never happen. Or imagine if he read the letter again in the army when he is distant from or angry with Sumo...he'll remember why he loved her in the first place

BOLD: yes, had it been a different atmosphere like them being in an actual relationship, then i would be a bit miffed ....tbh, shravan has to be the one to decide on which path he plans to walk on -continue to think of suman in his thoughts vs healing up with time...bunty can only give advice, but not decide for him..

Haan inspiration is from JWM only but the situation is different and it still feels like an abrupt turn from Bunty compared to what he was saying on Monday. That day he was telling Shravan that trying to suppress and deny these feelings and play BFF will be bad so tell her the truth....and now he's like pretend these feelings don't exist and become pehle wala happy Shravan😕. Anyways, I know they are doing it to set up Shravan blurting out his feelings to Sumo so I'm letting it go....but yes, consistency nahin thi in Bunty's approach by showing him taking this sudden extreme step of burning the letter.

Yes, it was good to see Sumo's brain working again😆.....but they are definitely dragging now again for whatever reason.....last scene mein bhi ITNA slow-mo mein they were showing Sumo walking over and picking up the burnt letter ka piece🤔😆

I actually don't get why Bunty was so freaked out by the letter.....it was hardly a depressed Devdas waali letter.....it showed Shravan being very earnest and quite philosophical in accepting that he's made his peace with Sumo's decision. In fact, Shravan was feeling lighter after writing it and was hardly wallowing in his feelings as he usually does.....and still Bunty burnt it down - his point about wanting to rid Shravan of all this was a very flimsy half-baked one and not convincingly executed. The Bunty from Monday was better balanced in his approach and advice to Shravan. This was random Bunty again.

Bottom line is that they just used that scene as a setup to show Sumo finding that one piece of the letter and to show events moving towards Shravan himself confessing the truth to her. There were better ways of doing this rather than showing such an extreme step from Bunty. But oh well *shrugs*

After watching today's episode...I felt the pain of watching.....soap operas on a daily basis......can be so painful........it's better when I watch after the whole thing has been completed........at a certain point I felt like too much stretching going on........maybe corona effect......hope confession doesn't take another month or so.......😭Bunty's behavior was strange if you compare the same with earlier this week......you very correctly said this epi was more of a makeshift.........
