EDT~ ep. 70~26.1.18 My stance: self healing..
Humans despite their frailties and weaknesses, at times alongside, show great resilience in going through motions of self healing. Psychologically we put into practice the technique of catharsis. Quite simply a form of emotional tension release, needed after an overwhelming experience. The outcome is provision of restoration and refreshment to ourselves. In day to day life ,humans relieve tension by seeking support from people close to them. In severe cases psychiatric service is sought to put into practice, techniques which enables the patient to go through sessions of purifying , purging and cleansing off their emotions.
To heal and to wound as well! Vyom deftly keeps up the supportive caring husband image before his family, but indirectly cross examines his wife about two things. The intention is to throw Sharanya off balance! crack Sharanya up! so she spills out the truth in both cases! Firstly, her knowledge about where Madhvi meant to go? Vyom tries to kill two birds with one stone! But Sharanya's silence shields both Madhvi and herself from getting into deep waters with the Bedi's. As for the second question, Vyom angrily catches Sharanya's fib! she went shopping ,when on a previous occasion she told him she would pay Sadhvi a visit in person. He knew her shopping excuse was a brazen lie! and as for visiting Sadhvi.well that in itself is a debateable question! To him, Sharanya takes him as some kind of a fool! Vyom's big bold eyes expand as if to pull out by force! the very truth out off her for both his questions!! His glare at her pretty face, scrawls his rage across her forehead ,as he muses, her lips say one thing but her eyes confirm she lies to him. Looks to me, Vyom faces an annoying snag, that Sharanya poses a challenge for him. She shows no fear off him on her face..with fear he wants to rule Sharanya too! like he does his mother! Rajan too can see Sharanya and his wife are stirring trouble but Rajan comes in his way and tells Sharanya that Madhvi's hurt is minor but it does cause her excruciating pain. His words are cold, serve as reminders to Sharanya , that she has covered up for Madhvi. Clearly something fishy about it. But with typical double standards, rajan rises above it!chides Sharanya, and insinuates, he'll over look her minor mistake, she'd better watch out! otherwise much pain may come her way ,too. All women depart, bar the injured Madhvi. Father and son give each other infuriated looks.. both seem bothered they cannot contain their wives. Rajan possibly is peeved with Vyom, as Sharanya is getting too big for her boots.. poking her nose where she shouldn't . Both men have a goal. To ensure, Sharanya and Madhvi don't meet in private! Their fear is some skeletons may be pulled out from the closet!
Like Sharanya, Odhni too is adamant to fight all odds, as both women have defined purposes to achieve. Expose criminals and set order where there is under cover much seething chaos! Odhni saves Freddy, for his next step.
Sharanya needs self healing too, much has happened since she last spoke to her healer! She seeks Shiv to release her emotional turmoil. What's interesting, within Sharanya, no insecurity exists, Shiv might have just deserted her for good. The trust of being looked out for by Shiv, always resides in her! She calls for him in Vyom's room, as sure as the air that she breathes, he beckons to her call! He's around her! Vyom's mosaic portrait from the wall looks on at one seen ,the other invisible..but inseparable they stand.Vyom like his portrait is a man too bitty and divided in pieces to fathom the depth and width of Sharanya/Shiv bond. Sharanya is brisk to purge her fears . How the strange Bedi's appear to be at each other's throats! There is emotional set back within her.. she exclaims, who so ever tries to show her the way, gets into a spot of trouble themselves! Sharanya assumes Shiv knows about Madhvi's terrible mishap? She pleads to Shiv! to reveal to her who was the culprit? But Shiv maintains silence.. her going higher up the rungs of the ladder, looking for troubles is his concern, hence he gives her as little as he can. She gives him feedback on crucial evidence , bloodstains found in the vintage car! Shiv sees she has progressed further with the car, to sent it for forensic , investigations. Sharanya goes into a strop, about him just vanishing ! why ever? He has a feeble attempt at explaining, he has to leave , before sunset and sunrise. It surprises me she is unable to connect ,he couldn't stay because he is a spirit? Shiv too, fobs her off ,he tells her, he'll explain more some other time! Why does Shiv leave doubts in our mind of being a spirit ? is it because he leaves her to work out things for herself ? mind you, leaving her to it , proves useful, as she herself tells Shiv that both Vyom and Rajan act strangely.. she concludes, they may be behind the accident; Vyom may have murdered her father? She confesses without being primed by Shiv, that she suspects Vyom is quite capable of committing murders. One has to say Shiv only comments when he is sure Sharanya is beginning to get the true picture about her in laws. Gives Sharanya space to see facts for herself. Here lies the difference between him and Vyom.. who always influenced Sharanya's judgement about Shiv the spirit!
However when it comes to Sharanya's welfare, even Shiv releases his sentiments! persuades her to see, she lives and deals with One doesn't shy to harm his mother, and the other gives his wife domestic and verbal abuse! He forces Sharanya to consider that Vyom is deceptive, caring, yet unscrupulous , who will stop at nothing to have his way! For once Sharanya is fearful and she pleads for his help..
Taking his hand in this world like before was an immediate cure for all her phobias.. that palm, she remembers well! How Shiv got her out of her dizzy heights of impetuous moments! Cat rescue FB ,comes to their minds. Her impulsive soft heart, always got the better of her! and before she knew it ,her bravado takes her up and up! scaling heights were dead easy! Finding her feet back on the ground was never considered by her! till her vertigo! got her enthusiasm! Tenderly on his knees with his helpful outstretched palm to her, makes Shiv recall the past .. she is still the same! Unstoppable, obdurate! Once she sets her mind to it! she ignores, the emotional vertigo she gets drawn into! Nothing has changed, seeking his help too had always been on her terms.. he smiles.. its like she does him a favour! Now he looks up at her with total love! his palm for her now, like before.. will continue to guide her foot steps to safety!..his warm eyes mirror his very soul to her.. yes Sharanya! He will stand by her... one life he had, he laid down for her, now his soul belongs to her eternally. Sharanya looks mesmerized by his look! As her palm hangs above his strong invisible palm below.. the gap of life and death cruelly separates contact. But then it was not about the communion of bodies. But a union of two souls..
Even a killer needs to give vent to his emotions, Vyom, displays quite a chaotic mix of emotions. He consoles himself by justifying his actions. Blames others actions, for forcing him into unleashing his wrath! Seeing Vyom talk to some captive mysterious female figure makes me think of what actually Vyom is undertaking? The mute figure is a symbol.. probably of his mother Madhvi, who never heard him out.. Aristotle referred to the term catharsis, he talked about the person undergoing emotional purging , to rid oneself of feelings of self pity and an inherent fear. In the previous episode Vyom does feel self pity for himself due to not getting his own way. Although he appears, contained, but he continues to be plagued by a persisting fear of losing Sharanya. But for the moment its the bite of betrayal he feels! Sharanya's glaring lie about meeting Sadhvi, infuriates him! he has evidence that Sharanya lied! In a frenzy he pulls the curtains back and reveals the truth! a dead Sadhvi sits in a chair before Vyom! In deadly silence the corpse as good alive for Vyom! mocks him! Sharanya makes a fool out of him! how he wields the jack knife at the dead slit throat Sadhvi! Once again he wants another medium to convey his message to Sharanya she needs to quit prying into his life! otherwise! Vyom actually sounds off a threat against Sharanya's life too.. when he converses with a body , that he'll send Sharanya too, where he sent Sadhvi.. Shiv was correct earlier where he predicts, Vyom will stop at nothing to prove himself right! and to enforce Sharanya's love for him! His sessions with this dead body are seen as a therapeutic to Vyom. He needs it to rejuvenate himself and continue with normalcy! Bearing in mind that the sessions are based on his delusions that Sharanya is being drawn to him. However in this session, her betrayal reduces him to tears, and pushes him over the edge! To even contemplate finishing her off before she discovers the truth about him!
It's said that often the wicked prosper, while the virtuous suffer. Sharanya was right in saying earlier, whoever helps her, finds themselves in trouble! Madhvi tries to redeem her image by disclosing the complete truth to Sharanya. But instead, the poor woman, commits a blunder and confesses her crime before Rajan! mistaking him to be Sharanya. Rajan too boasts, what will she reveal to Sharanya that they killed Shiv? Overall both father and son have sound evidence that their wives lied to them!
The episode wraps up, by Odhni's phone call to Sharanya. Freddy knows who killed Shiv, and she's sent him to her house. As luck has it , Sharanya's mother turns up to take her daughter home, according to tradition. So the likelihood of Sharanya meeting Freddy and hearing him out seems very strong!
I found the episode engaging, some complexities of the human mind are exposed. Vikram and Namik were very effective in their characters. The plot thickens with who killed Shiv? Donal as Sharanya continues to love and fight with a passion! She experiences a learning curve too.. precap is unsure not definite when Freddy asks Vyom if he is Shiv's killer???? ..sorry its a late.. long stance, please read when you can.. have a super weekend ,much love hammie 27.1.18
