Talented and handsome actor Vikram Singh Chauhan is winning hearts as Vyom Bedi with his stellar performance in Sony TV's popular romantic thriller Ek Deewana Tha'.
JustShowBiz had a quick chat with the actor, where he talked his heart out about his role and how he prepares for the same.
Your serial deals with paranormal beings. Do you believe in ghosts?
I don't believe in ghosts, haven't seen them yet. But paranormal activities, yes, they are something which is in your mind, sometimes you feel very low, and there are some activities which happen or keep playing in your mind. So we can say there is presence of paranormal activities.
Your act as possessed person is being well appreciated, from where you have adopted that body language?
Honestly speaking, I got to know about this track only 10-12 days before the shoot. I did watch horror movies and I asked my friends to send me all the horror movies so that I can see possessed people, I saw youtube footage even to see how they walk, how they talk. I did pick up things from YouTube footage too that I have seen.
Any specific preparation you have done to be a part of a horror show.
I don't do any preparation because if you do preparation before, then your work looks artificial. I try that it comes out naturally, I learn my dialogues by heart, I try my best that I don't forget my lines, but I don't do any other preparations because the natural flow goes away.
What according to you has been the most difficult thing of yours in which you have to put extraefforts?
Umm..I think emotional scenes; I think they are really difficult to be pulled because your mind gets heavy and even after doing such scenes if you try to recall, it can make you emotional. At times it becomes really tough to enact such scenes.
Are you a believer of God and devil?
I do believe in Gods and I believe in Karma, if you do good, you will get good, if you do bad, you will get bad. Devils are hard to believe, I haven't seen yet.
Is there any incidence from childhood, where you felt terrified of the super natural?
Umm..I had seen in all the horror movies that dolls get possessed and my sister used to keep a lot of dolls, so I used to hide all her dolls because I am really scared of dolls. I don't like any dolls at all. I don't even understand how people like dolls. Even Barbie dolls scare me up. Even my friends who have daughters, I make sure that I don't give them dolls.
Who is your best buddy on sets?
Everybody on the sets is so friendly. The director Prateek, Namik is also a very good friend, Donal, even if someone is not there around we miss them. Like Vidyut is not the part of the show now, but we really miss him. If anyone goes away from the show the entire team feels sad about it.
Who is the deewana' in the show Ek Deewana tha?
I don't think we should decide who the absolute deewana is. I think both of us are the deewana in our own way. Both of us are after the girl. Both us us have different concept of dewaanapan. Let the audience decide who the absolute deewana is.
Sometimes the things say like that you are the killer of Shiv, can you give us some hint on that?
I can't give you any hint on that because I know who killed Shiv. The story can go in anyway, it can be anything whether he was killed, or he was such a huge deewana that he killed himself. It's the thrill of the show, so I really can't reveal that.
On the sets, who is the inspiration to you and whom do you look up to?
My only inspiration is my parents. They are the biggest motivation for me and I don't think anybody can inspire or motivate me more than them.
