I also feel the other characters will also have an intregal part to play and a challenging one at that once his story unfolds since he is the main link...

Ever since Shiv has been introduced in the show we have seen many facets to his personality which have piqued our curiosity regarding the nature of the character. Not much has been revealed so far but whatever snippets have been offered have lent a definite thrill quotient to the plot. Who is shiv...is he the menacing entity from another realm refusing to leave the physical plain just so that he can wreck havoc in people's lives or is there more to it than meets the eye?

He is a restless spirit, strong yet broken lurking around and in, the hospital room of a woman Sharanya, lying unresponsive in the bed after a debilitating accident which rendered her bed ridden and unconscious for two long years. She comes back to life, miraculously, even after doctors give up hope of her survival. Then one evening she bares her heart to her mother in a conversation while sitting with her, when she admits that the only thing she ever sensed during those two years in oblivion was a soothing hand that held her. Her mother smiles,says it must have been vyom her fiance, she looks at her mother and confidently refutes her belief saying she had felt vyom's touch but she doesn't feel the connection with him. This realisation...does it stem from the fact that she suffers from amnesia and has forgotten the years spent with vyom or is there a more pressing underlying reason to it. IT is eventually revealed that the hand that held her night after night was that of the soul following her like a shadow now.

Shiv- looms large in her life, at first she is nonplussed by everything that is happening around her but as her suspicion gains strength that, it's not her mind playing games but something more, something beyond reasoning she at once decides to take matters in her own hands trying every possible means to find the cause of the absurdity that has become a regular in her life.

Shiv- scares the living daylights out of Sharanya, she smells stargazers all of a sudden, feels a chilling cold threatening to engulf her in cold despair and then she senses...she is not alone...a silhouette at close range is looking at her or is it looking upon her.

Shiv- is extremely compelling and mystical. He is a spirit a soul who is not bound by the vagaries of fate like we mortals do, then why does he prowl the plane of us mortals what chains him to the our world refusing to let him free...is he an anguished soul searching the road to Salvation...does he want to convey something to Sharanya..his behaviour is equally perplexing...he scares sharanya to the bone yet saves her from an amorous lecher trying to make an advance at her. Shivs story...is it a tale forgotten by few and purposely buried by the others remains to be seen...his persistent struggle to get Sharanya to acknowledge his presence is sometimes scary sometimes heartbreaking...the tumult that shiv feels at times is enough to elicit sympathy for the character .

Shivs musings at the end of each episode is perceived to have a connection to his life story and is goosebump inducing and keeps the suspense going.

The other characters in the story are intriguing. It seems like a big masquerade party where everyone has their masks on concealing their real motive behind the facade not willing to show their real faces in turn giving the feeling that no one can be taken at face value...

Hopefully the show will do justice to one of the most Interesting characters in the world of hindi daily soaps...shiv our supposedly desi demon with his black attire, intense black eyes and deep baritone..

Hola guys...this is a little write-up about shiv from my perspective...it in no way undermines other characters or actors for that matter who are actually doing a great job, all of them..It is merely my POV of the character I find the most fascinating in the show...

Okay as u know i dont watch this show ...Hmm for the obvious reason that IT DOESNT HAVE BARUN DREAMBOAT SOBTI IN IT 😆😆... Yeah i know I am pathetic wali phanki 😉...

But Tell you what your write up has PIQUED MY INTEREST FOR SURE so i actually watched a couple of episodes in FAST FWD, ... and so i can agree with everything that you have said.

TBH I am not sure of Vyom's character for the mo, he looks like a fall at ur feet wala lover... Shiv on the other hand is enigmatic, tho i am still yet to hear him spurt a few dialogues... other than the poems he recites at the end. ...as of Sharanya ...Hmm she is pretty is all i can say for the moment.

Yes you are right about the facade of the support cast, mainly Vyom's family, Hmm dont know whats cooking there, jo bhi hai its looks like a cooked up kichdi 😆

Shiv himself ...kya kahe... he is doing a decent job inspite of those strange looking gloves they make him wear...and those craze eyes... OMG give me CHILLS MORE THAN THRILLSS !!! AND DEFFO NO FEELS AT THE MO 😆

But thats also probably because he is not BARUN !!! 🤣, all my thrills and feels are reserved for one man only... HMMM well other than the hubby ofcourse ... 😉

HMM but why am I lurking in this REALM, not because i want to write or speak abt SHIV but because i want to speak about my LIL ELOQUENT BUNNY !!! i am thirsty and wherever i find a little bit of ur writing i end up there to parch my parched up need to read good content...

I loved this write up, every bit of it... and i will tell you what ..you have pretty much summed the story so far with such eloquence that i am at a loss for words. Reading your write up is like having a CHAPPAN BHOGG!! a scrumptious starter...followed by a variety of main courses and finally a large SELECTION OF YUMMYLICIOUS DESSERTS for a SWEET TOOTH WALA SWEET MONSTER LIKE ME

and finally Looking at her or Looking upon her ... The epi that i watched where Vyom's uncle tries to put his hand on her, and he sees a silhouette before their car, in that epi, it seemed like he was doing both ... Looking at her and upon her.. u have captured that BEAUTIFULLY !!! 👏👏👏

Hi Juhi amore! 😃 Great to see your post... about the extraordinary character of Shiv.Have to say you present his case well.. superbly argued and systematically presented. For me too he is an agitated nomadic spirit without peace. Hence he gets my immediate pathos, his soul does not RIP.. Keeping in mind , that human's associate spiritual principalities as evil, Shiv unlike , does appeal to our sympathies .To me as the plot suggests, there has been foul play ,whereby he has been wronged.Thus to me he drifts in hope of seeking justice for himself and to furthermore expose the perceived deceptive humans who possibly cut short his life.To me , Shiv's biggest strength lies in being invisible. So far he targets only two humans he sends feelers out too, Sharanya and the trained spiritualist. For the rest he is an improbability, a figment of Sharanya's imagination. Of course goes without saying that for the audience, he makes up a good chunk of dramatic irony. To me the fascination of his character is that there is far more to Shiv than meets the eye.. I am waiting to learn more about this multifaceted character.. thanks for the fantastic write up, it sure is a treasured post on the EDT forum.. keep adding your musings Juhi.. looking forward to seeing you here more often... much love as ever yours hammie..
