EDT~ep18 , 15 11.17, My stance~ Beneath the facade ..
The facade of a structure, conceals many imperfections, blemishes and gives the form a pleasing appearance. In life too the use of duplicity and smoke screen amongst the best of us is not uncommon and unheard off. It's not unusual for things to seem different to what they really are. As such, a common theme in fiction is to explore plots where appearances can be deceptive. There is a difference between manifestation and reality. This episode reveals the wily art of chicanery. We see how hidden agendas are exposed to the audience. There are references to, cheating, simplicity, foolishness , gullibility. But the beauty of the episode lies in the fact how certain truths are revealed without them being grasped by the person before whom the truths are mentioned. The episode is all about the other side of Vyom. The real side behind his ideal lover, husband material facade.
Sharanya's, show of affection is without guile. But unknown to her, Vyom works to a hidden agenda, of which the unseen fuming spirit is aware, but Sharanya herself is clueless! Not only that, but her parents too as in the past till to date see Vyom as a man of great integrity ideal for their daughter Sharanya. A consistent and well maintained cover up is often hard for people to penetrate! But Vyom put on the semeblance well!
Duplicity and pretext is rife within the Bedi s household too. Chandni is possibly up to something that aims to eventually finish off the family ,other than Rajan and herself. Aditiya is the one out of his family who overhears bits of conversations and has an inkling to the two faced side of the Bedi's.. he reckons not the kind of household for his sister to marry in!
Where sincerity and well meaning of one person, becomes a breeding ground for lies, and more lies! for another. Sharanya shares her concern with Vyom regards presence of some unseen danger! Amit warned her! and he is dead! Vyom created the Amit scenario! Now he has to churn out some prepared cock and bull story to convince Sharanya that he was a fraudulent doctor! Rather cleverly Vyom points out those very traits in her character which makes it easier for him to dupe her! her simplicity ! her gullibility towards the wily ways of this world! Amit took her for a ride.. could have taken advantage.. calling her to the park on her own. Vyom turns the table and chides her, it was her mistake! she went to meet him! Sharanya unsuspectingly accepts the story that Vyom cooks up! and eases herself, that there is no danger for either of them! Seeing her as he wants her to be, trusting him, completely under the spell of his aura.. Vyom places his hand on hers, fondly. Sudden gust of wind brings the unseen spirit in the hospital ward and ensures their hands part!!
Not long .. till we find the true face of Vyom.. the spirit follows her as Sharanya heads for the pharmacy for his medication .. Vyom rests his head on his propped up pillows , rolls his eyes with a certain sense of victory as he wonders.. how long before you cannot but, resist falling in love with me Sharanya?? He feels she is giving way already..his perseverance seems to be paying off.. down the corridors the spirit follows her.. she can sense its presence like always.. but fails to decipher it may be protective rather than destructive!
Caught in a maze with no way out! friend or foe? Whereas Vyom wants her free of her past gremlins of danger! Odhini nabs her in the corridor and once again warns her of a shadow who spells danger for her! Odhini claims to see the spirit! It is right behind Sharanya! Once again! Sharanya rejects her warnings that it will not leave her! Sharanya snubs her that she is not foolish to be taken in by fear of some spirit!! Sadly Sharanya is foolish enough to be duped by Vyom's smooth operations that gradually begins to effect her.. she is unable to differentiate between guile and honesty .. Odhini might be warning her about Vyom? or is it Shiv?. in any case the chaotic clairvoyant, before she is thrown out yet again by hospital security, scrawls a note for Sharanya Kapali hills! The spirit reads it too.. it knows where to head for eventually.. but not before heading first for Bedi mansion..
Bhists take it all in a stride when it comes to Vyom or his home..he has their complete trust, that he can in no way harm Sharanya . Aditiya is not entirely impressed by Vyom's family but then his parents just dismiss his views off as being insignificant!
At the Bedi's mansion, on Vyom's insistence, once again Sharanya ends up in his room caring for the convalescing Vyom! The scene is all about Vyom, speaking in innuendos, drawing her attention to his well toned body! Flirty teasing, she's seen him bare chest before! Vyom seems in a hurry to take things further from, just being close friends.. he puts her in a situation, where she refuses to say yes.. but he ignores her nerves, takes it as a yes.. that she'll do anything for him. At a very close proximity with Sharanya plastered against the wardrobe... Vyom uses her very words to weave his web of deceit around her! that she'd consent to marrying him had he proposed! Compliments her beauty, her choice of clothes .. all to gently win over her consent.. craftily he lets his mood know to her.. blames it on her beauty , he feels all romantic today... tenderly Vyom warns her he's not a saint that she reckons him to be..but a bit of a devil.. he gropes for her hand, brings it nearly to his lips.. when a gust of wind chills her arms and Sharanya pulls her hand back! The scene is to do with reaping the results of one brave ,but foolish girls trust! She allows him as much.. on the basis of knowing he will never harm her, only give her happiness! But it may now be seen that this scene may not be love driven , but lust driven.. his actions , words may well be, all lies.. pack of lies!
The spirit stands right behind the self imposed frame of Vyom against Sharanya .. from where it was the spirit caught on to Sharanya's discomfiture ! it's like Vyom caged her by his mild yet shady intents! Sharanya looks up into Vyom's face. His suture on his forehead begins to bleed.. trickles of blood reach his eyes... one groan in pain! and he crumbles to the ground! Sharanya screams Vyom!!! The spirit did what it came to do. Protect Sharanya from the wolf in sheep's clothing!...
The spirit's voice over sounds..Free me of my sins, so that I don't see you every where. Become the cause of my destruction, and free me from my pain and misery...hamlet53 16.11.17
Well its out in the open now that what we saw of Vyom in terms of reference stowards Sharanya's past were all yarns he spun to win her love.. make her fall in love with him.. her partial memory loss was a great boost to construct a catalogue of fake but plausible events, memories to go by! Goes without saying that their families gave Vyom a kick start!.. have to admit chose to believe in Vyom's love.. now this episode has happened.. he is neither good nor bad but mid way... once again our three main leads, left an impact on me.. ok will watch..I want to know who makes Sharanya have stars in her eyes?? Tomorrow : Kapli hills here they come! both Sharanya and Shiv..is he a spirit of a man?
