Ek Deewana Tha- Points to ponder after Week 1!

Hello guys!

I never expected to want to watch this show 'cause I thought the storyline was pretty straightforward from the promos, but I have been proven wrong.

Boy am I glad the show is on Sony 'cause at least they won't axe the show after 1 month nor will they change the storyline to appeal to the TR(A)P audience.

The makers have done a good job with the show- good amount of intrigue and suspense.

Some points to ponder-

1. Vyom's dad seems to be more obsessed with making Vyom-Sharanya happen than Vyom himself. 😆 He threatened his own wife for them. Something fishy? Why would he be so eager to see Vyom-Sharanya together? Is it just his desire to see his son happy or something else?

2. Nawab vs Sharanya- Who is Shiv's true love? It's not just Sharanya who can feel Shiv's thanda thanda cool cool presence but Nawab too. I feel sorry for Nawab. What if Sharanya was a jealous lover who murdered Shiv 'cause she couldn't tolerate his love story with Nawab? 😉

3. Vyom seems to not know many details about Sharanya- like her favourite flowers which seems weird for someone who has known her for 5 years and is all about her.

4. Repeated references to Vyom's deewangi- In the last episode of the week, Sharanya's mom calls Vyom's pyaar for her junoon. Vyom himself has said that 'Vyom Bedi ki deewangi chadh ke utarti nahi...' A lot of people have been referring to Vyom's love as obsession. Why so? Is it to throw us off Shiv or might they be hinting all is not what it seems to be?

5. Shiv holding Sharanya's hand through her coma- Shiv's actions seem like he is trying to scare Sharanya but is he actually trying to warn her? He wants to push her away from Vyom. Is Vyom's dad a threat to Sharanya?

Finally, what's your rating for Week 1 of EDT?

I would give it 4/5.

And if I go with some articles that the show plot is based on crux of Karz flim then this story has to be of shranyat shiv and vyoms dad coz more to vyom I found vyoms dad eager to get shranyay in her home and its definitely not the only the case of a father want his son happiness

What if the real deewana turned out to be vyoms dad and shranyay might be his past liking with same face 😆

Coz shranyay parents seem to be higher middle class where as bedis are not less then ambanis.

If bishts would have as rich as bedis then we would have said vyoms dad is eager to merge thier business but here there is no such case.

Oh I totally agree with your point about the class difference.

Vyom's dad does not seem charitable enough to ignore it so it is indeed suspicious why he wants a 'middle class' girl as his bahu despite being filthy rich. His intentions are not as straightforward as he says.

Is it Vyom vs Shiv for Sharanya or Vyom vs his dad. 😆

Here is what I think so far I have seen... .just my 2 cents

Shiv, vyom and Sharanya were good friends..love triangle, shiv and sharnya in love. made vyom obsessed with sharnya... thought to get rid of shiv

Shiv & sharnya..driving home.. gets accident... planned by vyom's dad or even vyom... to harm shiv...
Shiv dies and sharanya goes in comma - vyom pretends to be sharnya's love to her parents, cooks up a fake love story and ...stays with her parents...
After sharnya wakes up...shiv's ghost tries to warn her about what vyom did...
