For those of you who missed tonight's episode, you guys missed a really well balanced and interesting one where we got to see more dimensions to the new characters. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they're focusing on the characterisation because EBI has been rushing way too much recently. Also some of my predictions are coming true! Ok time for analysis :)
1. From Omkar to Omkara.
In a post I mentioned that I wouldn't be surprised if Om enjoyed torturing Sia because he enjoys watching people in pain and today he said so himself that he enjoyed hurting himself because of how satisfying it was to see Tara's fear. If fhis isn't a sign of a psychopath then I don't know what is. The flashback revealed that my earlier prediction of Om suspecting of Sia of being unfaithful is correct and his jealousy and misunderstanding probably led him to kill Sia. This reminded me of Othello who killed his wife because he thought she had cheated on him and now I feel like the name Omkar suits him! Omkara is the hindi version of Othello and here this guy also presumably killed his wife out od suspicion. That blood smearing scene to me suggested that he did infact commit murder and he knows that Tara is Tara and not Sia - so what's his game plan?
2. Mannat - infertile and broken.
I know everyone got angry seeing her playing with Pari but to me that scene was important in showing us that Mannu does have a heart and that these people aren't completely evil. In the car, Mannat was looking at what looked ultrasound reports which probably showed that she couldn't bear children or something like that. Seeing Pari, her motherly instincts kicked in and she just wanted to give some love to that cute child.
But still what is Mannat's game plan? What was her relationship with Sia like?
3. The shadow.
I actually wanted to laugh because I also have a shadow in my Naya Rang FF and some of my predictions are coming true so maybe the CVs have been looking at my work [LOL]
Now that shadow has to be Balli because Balli has this fascination with that horse knife of his and he has been convinced by Laado to go kill Sia.
Their face-off won't happen but I'm sure Balli will feel something and hence his curiousity towards Tara will begin. Already he is confused as to why Mannat wants her dead but now his heart strings will confuse him further.
I can already tell you that that IF article is wrong because Balli is afraid of guns so he wouldn't be trying to kill Tara with a gun.
This episode showed to me that villains aren't evil for no reason. There's good and bad in all people but it's which side of us we choose to act on that distinguishes us. Laado and Omkar feel as though they've been wronged by the poeple who are close to them and therefore are set out to destroy them. Mannat may have joined forces with her brother but she is a woman who yearns to have a child and unfortunately she can't so she also has a soft spot.
Til tomorrow,
Shegufta xx
