Hey guys,
I guess I've made this post in response to all the debate over what Tara should do now in the current situation that she's in. Should she leave or assert her right on MJ?
One thing I've noticed about people is that they're all for heroines who are strong but for some reason they get really upset when there are woman who aren't perhaps shown to be strong in some situations. Everybody is demanding to the CVs to not make Tara a sacrificial doormat because she has always been a strong woman but do you really think that Tara hoping to step out MJ's life makes her any less strong than when she's out there fighting for him?
I don't think so! She's human for God sake! She isn't always going to make the right decisions, she's not always going to put up a strong fight and she's not always going to feel that she has the right to be MJ's wife.
Right now, she's displaying her emotional side which is outweighing her rational side so she's not thinking about the fact that she's legally married to him and that even though Radha is his best friend, she has more rights on him than Radha does. She cares about his happiness and in her mind, Radha is his happiness.
Tara sacrificing her position in MJ's life isn't making her a doormat but staying true to her character of thinking of others over herself. She married MJ in the first place to ensure the well-being of her family. She chose MJ over her mother just so an innocent man doesn't get wrongly hanged. It's in her character from the very beginning to be sacrificing! This is what makes her strong. How many of us have the courage and the good will to go to these kind of lengths for our loved ones?
There is a part of me that hopes that Tara asserts her rights on him but it wouldn't really make sense if she actually did at this point because MJ hasn't verbally expressed that he has accepted their relationship so it would only hurt her more if she asserted her rights based on false hopes. She stll has plenty of insecurities to convince her to leave him for Radha.
Anyways what I really wanted to say is that tv serials shouldn't just be portraying "strong" woman. They should aim to show reflection of all types of woman because that's what is more realistic.
It's always Tara saying that she has all the rights on him because she's his wife so for once I want MJ to tell her that he wants to live with her as her husband. I think she deserves at least that much from him so please CVs keep the characters on the show realistic and portray them as human beings who makes good and bad decisions.
