@bold: No, it's not just you! I want to see everything that you have said in a step by step fashion. And you're right, maybe halfway in love wasn't the best choice of words, I think smitten would have been more appropriate to try to convey what I was trying to say, but I just thought that sounded childish for some reason! But yeah at this point MJ is infatuated/smitten with Tara, but at the same time he also feels extremely guilty for what he did to her and that is weighing very heavily on him. So guilt is also a contributing factor to how quickly he is melting towards her. Plus up till now he was dealing with a Tara who adored and depended on him as her ajnabi dost! She trusted him and treated him in a way no one probably has in a really long time. And the fact that her revelation came to him on diwali night when she came in and literally lit up his dark life, well it's no surprise that all the "hatred" he felt for his wife evaporated. MJ has been so starved for love and affection that he was attracted to Tara's warm and loving nature like a moth to fire, and even though there was a mind vs. heart battle raging within him, he found that he couldn't say no to her. Not after everything he had done to her, after everything she had endured at his hands. But now the tables have been turned. Now Tara is no longer dealing with MJ her dost, but with MJ the husband, who she's supposed to hate more than anyone else in the world. It's going to take her some time to come with the idea that the person she trusted above all and the person she hated more than anyone are the same. And I really don't blame her, I mean her entire world has been thrown off axis and she feels utterly and totally betrayed. She also doesn't know how long MJ has known that she was his wife, so to her he might have been playing her all along. So until she reconciles the fact that her husband and friend are the same person, MJ is going to be facing Tara's exponential hatred, and it will be very fascinating to see how he deals with that. Just like this episode marked the death of "Neil aka the ajnabi dost", it also marked the end of MJ's manhandling and physical abuse towards Tara. His game of trying to get her away from his life before she realizes who he is, is over, he has no ammunition left against her because now she knows who he is, knows both sides of him. Tomorrow will mark a new beginning of their story, and while MJ is already at the starting line, Tara still has a long way to catch up to him, time she might not have since MJ is already living on borrowed time.So it will be very interesting to see how this all unfolds and how Tara's perspective of MJ starts to changed. And like you said, I want this to be a well thought out and compact journey because the last thing I want is a premature love confession. Because for me the best part of a love story is the build up, and if that isn't given it's proper due I lose interest in the story. There is going to be a fair share of angst and pain here and I can't wait for it because that is what will strengthen this story and the bond between these two. I don't want to see a confession any time soon...stretch out the "falling in love" part as far as possible because that is where all the fun is!
