See Mrityunjay's psyche is quite understandable.
Even in real life, childhood experiences affect your psyche quite a lot.
People who have faced sexual abuses as a child have scarred psyches for life, those with quarreling parents are scared to fall in love, and like Mrityunjay those who have never got parental love (that's the most base love any human craves for first) get desperate to have it at any cost.
So his act, though not justified, is expected.
We have already seen a show on Life Ok featuring the anti-hero as an abusive husband due to a disturbed childhood.

What I don't wanna see here is Tara to be left at his mercy, that he pardoned her because he was actually good at heart.
He should realise that what he was doing was not right, and can never be. And for that he needs a lecture from Tara!
Something like now she can perfectly understand what the girl must have gone through, when he apparently raped that girl.

This will make him feel guilty that he was going to inflict the same on Tara, the very thought of which makes him scream himself.

That scene would be somewhat applaudable, and though the MU won't clear it would atleast get Mritunjay out of his Maatr-Bhakti, which is more important for Jayraj's effort to have any fruit

You have a point there Nikkei... I agree the act of scaring her in itself is wrong...and for Tara to give him a mouthful on it or even slap him for it would make sense...but him not being the one to take the call on the act would leave the audience and Tara as Mrityunjay's character to be dark. Would he have gone all the way? would be the question we would be asking ourselves especially since he has an accusation sitting on his head for the exact crime...

The best way for the CVs would be to have MJ take the call, and Tara to give it back to him as per her character...

Also its a very senstive issue...hope they handle it sensibly...

the title is so much apt for this episode...the episode if opened many loopholes of why MJ wants Tara to stay away from him its not just himself wanting but its the maa too who wants not to be called his own son wants him to stay away from Tara..
by this cv's added another angle to already having so many mysteries in this storyline...
why she wants MJ to stay away from tara.it could be due if he gets love in future he might want to come out of jail...this could be a loss to Nimmo..
episode opened many emotions of MJ which was hidden in the wooden cold face...
he thinks about his cold behaviour towards Tara...what he is getting himself from others is also a cold behaviour...
there is so many in bw lines...
meethi might have met the other MJ who used to like jalebis. otherwise how does she knows MJ used to likes jalebis...
maybe Meethi should more open to tara about MJ but it more depends on Monday scenes how they would be like there if Tara saves herself or it would be MJ who will let her go.

Thank you...and liked your take too

Once more butting in , but couldn't help it , I think I should say it...
(Marital rape doesn't apply to each n every case of husband forcing himself on wife (legally wedded of course ), there are clear legal indications . It sets my teeth on edge when I see such a huge n sensitive term like rape is being used to describe the situation in the promo or precap. If any one wants clarification , I'll be more than happy to share the legal knowledge , which is part of my course btw.
But please do not call it rape, or rape attempt , or pretending to rape, etc., do not use the word rape, BECAUSE THE TERM RAPE DOESN"T APPLY EITHER LEGALLY OR SOCIALLY TO THIS SITUATION. We can call it husband forcing himself on wife, morally it is rape , but not legally, n not socially, so better to avoid the term altogether. )

From Legal journals- ( any body can ask any lawyer for the verification of facts )-

Advancing well into the timeline, marital rape is not an offence in India. Despite amendments, law commissions and new legislations, one of the most humiliating and debilitating acts is not an offence in India. A look at the options a woman has to protect herself in a marriage, tells us that the legislations have been either non-existent or obscure and everything has just depended on the interpretation by Courts.

Section 375, the provision of rape in the Indian Penal Code (IPC), has echoing very archaic sentiments, mentioned as its exception clause- "Sexual intercourse by man with his own wife, the wife not being under 15 years of age, is not rape." Section 376 of IPC provides punishment for rape. According to the section, the rapist should be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which shall not be less than 7 years but which may extend to life or for a term extending up to 10 years and shall also be liable to fine unless the woman raped is his own wife, and is not under 12 years of age, in which case, he shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to 2 years with fine or with both.

This section in dealing with sexual assault, in a very narrow purview lays down that, an offence of rape within marital bonds stands only if the wife be less than 12 years of age, if she be between 12 to 16 years, an offence is committed, however, less serious, attracting milder punishment. Once, the age crosses 16, there is no legal protection accorded to the wife, in direct contravention of human rights regulations.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can also read this very interesting article- http://blogs.wsj.com/indiarealtime/2013/03/26/why-india-allows-men-to-rape-their-wives/

Rape is gross punishable legal offense , however marital rape is still not under the criminal offenses , or legally punishable. In fact , Indian law gives validity of husband-wife seeking sex from each other by the legal definition of marriage.

I know it's just sick ! 🤢 But as long as our law doesn't change , better not use a word as heavy as rape, because it'd be incorrect use here.
