Hey peeps,remember that scene when Radhika was tending Arjun's wound..She said "Yeh lijiye,aap ko toh acche se bandh liya"..this line had some inherent meaning i think..cause by that time, Arjun had really tied himself to her!

He loves her. Would rather marry her. Here she is feeling happy about his marriage and wishing him! All he wants to say is ...agar tum Meri shaadi se khush ho, toh main kaise khush Ho sakta hoon. Kuch Kuch Hota hai Radhika tum nahi samjhogi. 😉

I think one common factor that binds the two incidents is his attraction for her and his knowledge that she isn't aware of him as a man...just her boss and Sam's love.

Secondly, he's angry and disturbed by her dog-with-a bone determination to find out who Nandini is and her knowing that he is lying about her and hiding her existence for some reason that will hurt Sam.

Thirdly, he was blind-sided by the realization that she is engaged to be married and not once did she let on even during their time together in Lonavala. He's probably calling himself all kinds of an idiot for allowing himself to feel for her even after knowing the truth...he's beginning to realize that the attraction isn't going away. It's getting stronger and growing like a wildfire.

Fourthly, he's royally pissed off at Saral's presence and can't stand to see them together. Also, he can't understand why she's letting him ride all over her.

Fifthly, the engagement happened soon after the dori scene. He was still reeling under the effect of it all. After all, this was the first time he'd consciously come close to her, touched her and shared and intimate moment with her, with her actually being conscious of it.
And, then, she brings him back to earth by wishing him all the best for his engagement...not even remotely acknowledging what had just occurred between them. Also, there is a sense of guilt that he'd come so close to a girl who was engaged to someone else.

During the engagement , he couldn't keep his eyes off her, even to the extent of dropping the ring and seeing it go straight towards her! This must have brought home to him even harder that his wishing it was otherwise wasn't going to change anything. And, to top it all, Radz herself brings the ring back to him with a huge smile on her face...she wanted him to get engaged to Sam!😆

All this combined together made him act so churlish...this is my pov. Don't know if I left out anything important. This was what I could think of at short notice.
