[Straight to the heart]
It's been raining cats and dogs since 10 am. But in the busy life of Mumbai people are running here and there with water dripping from their wet forms and umbrellas...these poor souls didn't get any leave from work... In between their rush a biker pulled his YAMAHA r15 version 1 at high speed spreading water in their clothes. Some ignored and rushed to station while other shouted desi slangs to the biker. In any normal time the biker would start a fight with those slang user but today he is too furious to even care for all these. He is speeding his bike at 40 km per hour in busy road of Mumbai. Rain is hitting his face in resemblance of needles and he care less about that also. A traffic police stopped him by force then he came to his sense.
Police: young blood huh..where is your helmet.
Biker: in office. Forgot to wear it.
Police: ok..forgot helmet!!! So may I know why you were pulling this bull at such high speed here?
Biker: is 40 km/hr high speed?
Police: don't talk back to me like that boy.. ... in busy road of Mumbai 40 or 20 ... doesn't matter at all. Common give fine of 500/-
Biker: sir please spare this time.
Police: ok, show me your papers
[Neil handed over the papers]
Police: where is the insurance paper..
Neil: sorry, I took it out to make a Xerox copy but forgot to include it.
Police: go to some good doctor. Forgetting sickness in this age is not good. What's you name?
Biker: Neil.
Police: how much famous are you, huh? Full name.
Neil: Neil... Neil Malhotra...
Police: ok Mr Neil Malhotra, your fine would be 200/- for driving without helmet.
Neil: ...ok.. ok sir...
He hand him out the money and took this papers back along with a fine slip then started his engine after a long warning season. After sometime his engine stopped running. He kicked start multiple times but the bike took oath to rebel that day. He got fed up and got down from it and started waking after providing some fuming kick to the bike... the poor wounded bike remained in the middle of the street..
After walking in rain for 10 minutes he cooled down and settle under a extended roof of a local shop and started recalling the past event which made him angry on the first place... Arjun...
Neil's POV
That stupid Arjun is hella irritating... I know he is my boss but does he have to rub in our face always. I am the creative director so i am more creative than him that he also knows very well yet his list of criticism just never gets tired. And that Sam... whats wrong with her, always takes that pineapple's side... oh.. how much i wish to throw stone on his head... uch...huh..someone just threw a stone on my head.
Normal POV
Neil tilted his head and stretched his neck to extreme to get the look of the culprit who dared to throw stones on him. He found nothing so left the matter there and started his work that is waiting while looking in the dripping water aimlessly.. Another stone hit him. Now he is beyond annoyed. He somehow managed to climb up the roof and confront the culprit. After confronting the culprit Neil was beyond amused.
It had the way of looking at him that made him think it could see into his very soul. No, beyond his soul: into his very essence. Those huge, sparkling eyes gazed at him and compelled him to walk slowly towards those olive orbs. He crouched down on the wet concrete and stretched out a hand to the strange looking item. It gritted his teeth and pulled away from there with an angry screech and made a scowling which remained Neil of one person he knows, who never failed to provide an awesome scowl... ARJUN.. Arjun .. it will be a nice name for this scowling creature.
Neil stretched out a hand again to the little pink nose. It sniffed him timidly, and made another scowl. His wrinkles turn more prominent. Seeing that Neil meant no harm, the baby monkey nudged his hand with head and then began to sucking his fingers. Neil removed his hand carefully from his mouth and tickled him gently behind the ears and under the chin.
There was something dark red straining the ground where baby Arjun was sitting. Neil noticed that the creature was holding one of the feet off the ground, in what he had mistaken for happiness at some new company. Neil couldn't bind his soft nature anymore and picked the baby monkey up and tug him under his shirt. He could feel struggle the baby monkey was pulling but soon gave up. He sighed in relief. The baby cried softly which made his heart melt.
There was a vet's around the corner that he knew of and he began to walk towards it. While walking he felt a strange sensation. Neil blushed furiously. The baby Arjun [monkey] was sucking at his nipples... he made a frantic sound and pulled out baby Arjun from his shirt, abruptly. Baby Arjun got scared and made a face which seems to be of a crying new born baby.
Neil: no.. don't give me that face.. i am certainly not your mother, kiddo... and sorry kiddo you are not going to gain any profit on sucking my nipple.. so don't ever do that indecent work again.
The baby started wailing in his hand.
Neil: oh stop it now. You will make me deaf..
After pacifying baby Arjun for some time, he got tired and started taking long step to the vet.
After sometime the baby fell asleep on his chest while sucking on his thumb. Baby Arjun was looking so adorable then and Neil felt bad for shouting on him... the poor soul got detached from his troop and also hurt. He must be missing his mother terribly.
Thirty minute after he had handed the bundle of cuteness over to the vet, it was back in his arm, snuggling deep into the chest of its new owner.
Vet: he is detached from the troop, i guess. He needs a good home.
Many thought were running in Neil's head. Where he will keep him? His apartment doesn't allow pets and he cannot hide it from his mom.
Vet: make sure he eats well, and drinks enough water.
Neil nodded.
Vet: good, good, and one of these antibiotic tablets with each meal for his injured leg.
Neil: got it.
Vet: good, good, bring him back in a week's time for a check-up. I want to keep an eye on that leg. We don't want that infection to get any worse.
Neil: okay.
Vet: see you next week then.
Neil: bye doctor, I will take care of him.
And off he went with the bundle of joy in his arms. It purred against his chest and Neil hummed along cheerfully full of happiness for his new friend.
