Arjun's face was going rigid and more rigid as he heard the voice from the other side of the line,as he held his cell phone to his ears.He gritted his teeth harder as he saw a stone faced Radhika walking upto the dining table with the tray of tea.
His eyes looking at her with all the loath he could muster as the voice on the other side droned on..
Oblivious to the reason of his angry mood Nandini smirked slyly as she buttered her toast and looked from the corner of her at the approaching figure of Radhika..She was mentally doing a Joy dance thinking that pestering girl was the reason for his brother's sour mood.
It was all going good for her..Keeping their distance through her bitter words and blackmailing Arjun on a daily basis she had built up a strong solid wall between the couple.
Radhika ofcourse already hated him,and now she was having a good time removing his brother's budding feeling for the troublesome girl too..!
She had started with giving them separate bedrooms.And of course they were both more than ready for it.But it was only Nandini herself who knew why she had done it..
Physical distance will only help in make their heart grow colder for each other even after the marriage..She smirked to herself again,as she passed a walking away Radhika a derisive look as she reached for her tea.
Arjun had put down the phone away at the same time.
"What is it love..?Why is your mood so off?You did not see Her face after waking up,did you?"She cooed pouring more acid onto him with her sugary tone,as she sweetened her tea with the sugar.
"I wish..!!!"He muttered covering his face with a loud curse,making her frown as she stirred her tea slowly and thoughtfully.Her brain wheels were already turning and working overtime as she tried to think what he meant by that..
"Arjun..?What is it..?"She had stopped stirring her tea as she stared at him with narrowed eyes.
"It's our foreign client Nandu..He had called to say he is expecting me in Malayasia by the end of this week.."
"So..?What is the worry in that..?You should go love.."Nandini said as a secret smile came at the corner of her lips.That way she would be more successful in distancing the couple,she could not help but rejoice,as she raised the steaming cup of tea to take a sip from it."It is one of our most important deals Arjun.We should not get this out of our hand.You should go."
"I KNOW DI!!!And that is the problem!"He snapped out and Nandini had a hard time trying to hide her smile as she brought the tea cup closer to her lips.
"How can it be a problem Arjun..?You should just back your bag and-.."
"He expects it to be my Job cum Honeymoon trip!He knows I just married last week.He expects me to be there with my WIFE!!!And he said he is not going to listen to any arguments on that,as his family would be there too!!!"Arjun finished in one breath.
"WHAAAT?!!!"Nandini screamed out as the hot tea spilled on her hands burning them,and she yelled out in pain.
Arjun stared dumbstruck at her,not reacting immediately,and it was Radhika who came running from the kitchen to help her out.
"DIDI!Oh my GOD!Let me help you!Oh this needs an ointment!Wait,I'll-.."
"LEAVE ME ALONE RADHIKA!"Nandini snarled out,and shoved her off the way.
THUD!
A furious Nandini did not even turn to see where she had fallen or what happened as she left,and nor did she care..!
Things were getting out of her hands and she did not like it,and hell,her hands were burning too!!!
Where is the darn ointment?!!
Arjun was up and beside Radhika in a second as he helped her up from where she had fallen on the chairs,frowning at the departing form of his Nandu.
Why had she done this?!Radhika was only trying to help her!
He thought in confusion as he held her softly by her arms and looked at her face with worry.
"Are you alright Radhika..?Did you get hurt..?"
"No..I'm..I'm fine.."Radhika said as she tried to free herself and move away from him.
"Are you sure..?Let me check first.."He pulled at her arms to check for bruises,when she tried to set her hand free again.
" I am okay SIR!I said I am okay!No need to act the concerned husband!"She bit out as she looked at him with angry eyes,but her anger could not hide the look of pain and even the gathering of tears at the corner of her eyes as she said so.
This tugged hard at his heart.He knew he should not even be caring cause tears were all he intended for her,but that is how he felt.How could he deny the truth..?He could not see her pain..!
She was just jerking her hand free,when he saw the drop of blood..!
He pulled her hand close and saw it..!She had cut her finger in the fall..!
He stared at her with angry accusing eyes,before again looking at the cut forefinger.
"You are hurt damn you!You are hurt!"He whispered in a scolding voice and then in the next instant,he took the finger in between his lips and into his mouth to ease away the pain with his lips and tongue..
He did not realise what he was doing,until he saw the hot flush on her face as she suddenly closed her eyes and inhaled a shaky breath..
That was when his stomach muscles clenched up with a new sort of need,and he did not even try to stifle it,as his tongue licked at the cut skin ever so slowly.Not minding the tangy taste of blood as he studied her changing expressions.
DAMN!She looked so good like this..!All flushed,disturbed and breathing heavily..She looked delectable!What hadn't he tried anything like this before..?!
He could literally feel fires racing along his veins as a warmth seem to engulf him.He had no idea where it all was coming from,but he just knew he was enjoying every bit of it,and suddenly wanted more..!
Arjun had just moved his free hand and curved it round her slim waist and pulled her close against him,letting go of her cut finger from his mouth simultaneously,as she stood in her green saree,when a voice made him go still.
"ARJUN!WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!"
