Honestly the reason I started watching this show was because it was beyond pairings and the typical stereotypes. Radhika, the small town girl with big dreams wasn't your typical small town damsel in distress, she had guts. They showed her strengths as well as insecurities making her a real character. Sam too was an interesting, likeable character. Both actresses did a great job portraying the characters they played, making them come alive in scenes. The usual 'stupid antics' of the small town girl were not being shown. The subtlety in Radhika's portrayal especially surprised me t be honest. Neil too feels real and is loveable. He stays true to character. The most important thing was to fall in love with spunky Samaira, the good friend Neil, and the girl with the big dreams, Radhika. What made the story better was the bond of friendship between the trio. Samaira, Radhika and Neil; three people who are completely different from each other, yet come together so beautifully.
Arjun makes an interesting, 'grey' villain; instead of a typical black and white one. And right now, that's what he is, the villain of this story at this point. Later he will change, but the change will be slow, hopefully, with good build up. He's not ready to be in love with anybody at the moment but Radhika will possibly end up being his first friend.
Samaira and Radhika took a longer route to friendship, but theirs is a bond strengthened from these instances. I hope the show stays clear of typical 'misunderstanding' tracks and jealousy tracks. In the typical serial, you know the pairings from the get-go and they become the main focus of the show. Its nice to see the structure move away from the typical. It'd be sad for the show to now turn into typical love stories of whatever pairings happen. I want to see the show move forward not backwards.
Honestly the chemistry between all the characters are good, and the character building is different but great. There's this feel to the show that I can't even explain; like its something different and unique. At this point they should steer clear of the typical, although i see a bit of it happening with this Arjun-Radhika track.
Also, people who are complaining about the pairings, or whatever, no offense but the show has more to offer than who ends up with who. However it ends, the build up so far has been good. a good story is most important to me. So far every show I've watched, with a majority I lose interest when it turns into a typical daily soap. I'm honestly not expecting much, but hoping for the best.
