Hello everyone!!
If you remember my last post, then you would know that the Sam Neil equation is my favourite in the show. And today's episode was just too beautiful for them and compelled me to put my thoughts down.
Let's start from the moment Sam broke down in Saturday's episode. It was a revelation to Neil as well as he did not know the extent of hurt that Sam faces. He immediately went to her, consoled her, held her, but even with all this, he himself was in shock. He did all these things instinctively and at the same time tried to make sense of what the situation was. That's why even when Sam locked the door, he decided to give her space. I loved that part. It was killing him from inside, leaving her like that, but he did, because he thought she needed it. He kept looking at her through the glass, trying to understand, trying to figure out. As i have said in my earlier post, you can be best friends and still discover new stuff about each other. This level of hurt in Sam was new to Neil and hence he got as shaken by it as Sam herself.
Then came the part where Arjun was talking Sam away. That was when Neil got out of his reverie completely as he realised that this was not going to go down well. His confident " Sam kahin nahi jayegi" was him getting back in his protective, always there for Sam mode. He followed her, gave her a shoulder to cry on, and she accepted it without question. He was the one who got her out of the daze she was in. In this scene, at one point, Sam and Neil's faces were almost like mirror images. This was beautiful as it showed that Neil was feeling the same level of pain that she was going through. He was crying with her, for her. This level of empathy is special, precious and rare. And this is what makes Samaira and Neil outstanding.
Given all this, is it really a surprise that I think they would make a beautiful couple? But honestly, this post is strictly on their current relationship, which is special, regardless of what happens later.
