Sam: What can I say other than a thousand hugs to the poor sweetheart and a huge round of applause to Kash for that understated fabulous performance?! Her unshed tears spoke more than a million words could in that scene where she heard her mom say that she hates her... heart wrenching ... And then that photo scene? Kash has beautifuly modulated her voice before and after she said that single word... bhai...
And as they say the best part in conversations are not what is said but what is unsaid... Kudos to screen play and dialogue writers!
And I'm totally in love with their lighting effects... they are playing on the emotions with it... Brilliant! :)
Piyali and Samrat: God it's just messed up... A man caught between being a husband or a dad... A mother whose loss of her favorite son has blinded her towards others grief ... All I can say is it will take time to come out of such hatred and prejudice... Only if she realizes that one day what she takes for granted too can be lost, she will be jolted out of the fugue...
Arjun: He keeps oscillating between revenge and genuine affection to me... And Aham's subdued acting is stellar! I mean in the hug scene after the third watch I noticed his hand gestures (because of course in the first two attempts I was staring at their faces...). He gradually rubs them on her shoulders and the moment her voice hitches and says"bhai " He tightens his grip on her... Perfect sync! Awesome direction!
And then I have a question... did anybody else feel that Arjun was J when she asked Neil, "mujhe ghar jana hai" ? I dunno first reaction seemed like jealousy to me... Something like your home is with me kind ... hehe *must be wishful thinking *
Rads: I really want thrash that guy for leaving a girl alone on the unknown road of an unknown city without her phone and money! Seriously who does that? ! I didn't actually mind their earlier pranks... because that was that ... a prank... But yesterday's was crossing the limits!
And the girl herself... I don't what made her walk out of the apartment complex? If it was me, I would have just spent the night on the stairs near their house... might be uncomfortable but a million times safer than venturing alone in the night in a unknown city with no where to go...
But Monica nailed the vulnerable look! :)
Neil: Well all I can say is I can totally understand that conversation... And yeah besties do react in that way... Become jealous, possesive, don't like sharing you with anyone and yeah even issue such ultimatums at times ... don't talk for months ... then finally someone else just who is fed up with the silence, mostly that someone is the other's bf/gf push you two together to have a conversation and the world is fine again, you both are back on track... Have been on the receiving end... So I know ... People do tend to get possessive... it feels nice to an extent ... but too much is suffocating... Neil is on the verge of going overboard... But Shravan was perfect as Neil! Needs to be said... guy can emote beautifully with his eyes...
But what I will never forgive is somebody letting a girl walk out alone in the middle of the night! And here she is the best friend! Seriously, it's not done! I would have preferred the conversation to have gone like this: Just when she was about to go ,call her back n say,
N:Sam kahan ja rahi ho?
S:tumhe kya farak padtha hai?
N: Sam joke mat karo, adhi raat ho chuki hai... kal dekh lenge
S: magar tumhe tho abhi baat karni thi nah
N: Sam baat ko badao mat... jana hi hai tho kal subah chali jana...
S: Nahi Neil, mujhe abhi jana hai...
N: Teekh hai tho mein tumhe drop kar deta hun..
S: Mujhe kisi help nahi chahiye!
N: Sam zid mat kar...
S: U know what Neil tumhare zid ke wajah se mein jaa rahi hun, so plz mujhe late ho raha hai... jane do!
He reluctantly moves aside and she leaves...
^^This I would have accepted ...
Anyway hopefully he goes behind her ... maybe he will see Arjun talking to Sam and leave again in anger... And I guess Rads will run into Sam while she is running away from that guy whose intentions seemed obvious ... So by default foiling Arjun's plan against Sam again!
Anyway love how they show dark rooms in this show... seems natural... Like how Neil entered the room and switched on the light... I mean who in this time of sky rocketing electricity bills would have all lights on like they show in almost all shows except when some intruder or robbery has taken place... then alone lights would be off to add to the surprise effect! ;)
Anyway long rant sry... Am in a writing mood today! :D
