Hey All You DSKers!!!!

Well ... now that most of us have seen at least 5 episodes of DSK - and don't have that "I haven't seen the videos excuse"😉😆 .... its time to have a discussion!

So we know that Anupama's father uses words like "abishrap, amangal, and ashubh" for his daughter as he feels that her bad luck caused her mother's death ..... so the discussion is .......

How much do DSKers believe in luck and superstition?

And whether or not DSKers feel that one person's bad luck does rub off on another?

Everyone in the forum seems to be feeling for Anupama ... but many people are superstitious like her father .... some more .... some less. Through the show we're seeing how one young girl is hated due to a superstition ....... let's see just how far being superstitious is justifiable .... according to DKSers!

So ..... let's start the discussion!

Luck yea I believe in luck bs its luck which make u lucky 😛 Luck counts alot I
think its your luck wat make you achieve wat you wish by praying to God. As it say muqadar ka likha but we can change things by praying I believe that.

I dont know sometimes I think superstitious its nothing you know watever old people has said in old days like abt black cat etc etc they made us superstitious otherwise if one believe in God then we know wat ever happen in life good or bad is according wat God has decided 4 us there is a reason though we dont understand sometims but realize later when time passes.

Now a days when things are advancing so rapidly ...its silly to consider a person unlucky to me its uneducated thought. Its not at all appropriate to consider a human being who feels pleasure and pain unlucky one should think abt others feeling its bad to hurt someone by saying him or her that your are unlucky human.

God has made this world so beautiful and among all the beautiful things humans are the most beatiful and prcious creature of the God and its sin to me saying God's most beautiful creature unlucky.

I do believe in luck, but am not superstitious at all! I don't think it's fair to blame someone for bringing bad luck to their life, etc. Also, I don't think that one person's luck rubs off another. Everyone is born with their own luck and whatever is written in his/her destiny will happen; another person's luck doesn't really play a role in his/her life.

Every human being is God's creation and who are we to say that one of his creations is unlucky/cursed?

I can't say that I'm not superstitious. But I do not believe that a person could be ashubh, or amangal. I believe in luck, I belive in God, I'am a little bit superstitious, but it is very silly to think that a person could be unlucky. . And what about 'manglik'. I mean. it is not right, that when you considered to be a manglik, you have to marry trees (for example 😆)

Some traditions are based on superstitious toughts. People need someone or something to blame when things go wrong, and it is easy to say that a person is unlucky.

Anupama is unlucky yes. Because she has no mother, but an evil stephmother. That is why she is unlucky. But she is not to blame for the dead of her mother. And I think that even when a child is born, and the mother dies, the dad should be happy with the child, because it reminds him of his wife. It is her 'nishani'. He should cherish that, rahter than blame it...

you bring up a very good point ... who are we to decide whether a child of god is lucky or unlucky?

i agree completely .... i really feel that anupama should be looked upon as the "akhri nishani" of kiran ... not the factor that took her life .... but i feel that maya has poisoned her husband's mind so much that he doesn't even realize that he's hurting the last gift his wife gave him before her death .....

while i was reading this ..... another question arose within me that i really want to add to the discussion .......

do you think that if kiran had given birth to a son .... vikram's reaction towards the child would be the same?

I think it would've been the same since he doesn't really call her unlucky based on her being a female; instead, he solely blames her for being the cause of Kiran's death.

I was thinking about that earlier, and I think that if it had been a boy he might've thought him as the soul cause of Kiran's death, but I am sure he would've changed his mind later on. You normally don't see them calling a guy "abshagun" or anything, it seems all the bad kind of stuff ends up on us, girls. 😡

As for the superstitious part... I consider myself superstititious.. too some extent. But that doesn't mean I think there is such thing as abshagun and all that jazz.

😆 ... yeah i think you and i are thinking the same thing .... as i just said above, i too haven't seen very many boys get labelled as unlucky .... but then again .... we can't be sure since a lot of the garbage in vikram's mind has been put there by maya ..... but i still think it would have been harder for her to treat a boy badly the way she treats anupama .... but she could have spoiled his habits etc (gotten him hooked on things and thereby making his father hate him more)😕 - haila! me toh story writer ban gayi😆 ....

so what do you guys think of my idea about how maya would have made vikram hate his son if he had one😆

Honestly, with these backward ways of thinking, I think if he had a son, the son would not be considered unlucky for his mother dying at his birth. Instead, the father would think of the son's birth as better than having his wife ... that he has an heir and someone to take care of him in his old age.

luck is for suckers... i go on with life on pure talent! 😛

I hate it when a black cat crosses my path, but will i trun around?? ... um NO... lol too lazy my point is... why do i hate it when a black cat cross... its because of the damn society who sets up these so called "conventions" that we musttttt follow... i keep thinking why do i hate black cats, its because of what ive been told... over and over again... its bad luck?... whats that supposed to mean... like theirs some kind of connection between whats going to happen to me in the future since some cat came in the way of me? it makes no sense to me.... if u do believe in em power to you... but yea i cant be forced to think like that... no minor event in the present is going to bring me bad luck in the future... if i break a mirror big deal... if i walk under a ladder ... big deal!... like they have NO connection with whats going to happen to me... but lets say i drink and drive... hmmm that calls for sometime bad to happen!! i just dont get it...

no a person shouldn't be considered unlucky... bad things happen its just the way the world works... we cant blame a single person for the happening whens its so much bigger than us that none of us have any control!...
