For a long time now I have been a silent spectator of this forum and also a regular viewer of the show Doli Armano Ki. Despite the story taking a very grim and ugly turn , I still kept watching coz I felt the serial reflected reality. It was different from the many other shows, as the the truth was not sugar coated. Samrat was and still is, a representative of the numerous men in our country who treat women like dirt. As the story progressed and Samrat developed from a Grey to a completely black character, I still kept watching. When Tauji was introduced , he came as a ray of hope , someone who would finally put an end to Urmi's misery. Someone who would finally give her the confidence to stand up for herself and to choose a better life. The CV's hit gold when they showed Samrat beating up Urmi, it was a golden chance to show Urmi finally emerging as the strong, confident ,self dependent woman we all know she can be. But yet again the CV's lost this golden opportunity. The Actor himself made a statement saying "Samrat is not a bad person, in a fit of unconsciousness he did the deed ",this begs the question "How can a wife beater, and emotional abuser, a man who regularly cheats on his wife, be called a good person???!!!"
I think Urmi taking back the case and still continuing to live in the same house with such a monster will be the last straw. I feel cheated that after months of watching Urmi's misery I dont even get to see her finally escaping the prison. If the CV's choose to show Urmi still living with Samrat and Samrat miraculously changing into a better person, they will be going against the very essence of this show. This show started out as a reflection of the lives many women in our country lead, it was a portrayal of the male chauvinistic attitude many of the men in our country have.To now divert from reality and to show such a beast turning into a positive man ,will just be to appease the fantasies of girls who believe "Samrat is soo hot, please let him change into a gud man"
