Part 4:

Antara's Point of View

I stepped in the dining area. Suddenly, I felt my eyes weld up with tears, this was the family I would really want. Everyone was laughing and smiling in the table, joking around. Quietly, I sat on a chair where Aunty indicated me to. I was just in between of the elders and the youngsters. I laughed as Nikhil cracked a joke about Ankita as she smacked him on his head. They were quite a couple. They liked to talk a lot. On the other hand, Satya and Rukhsana were the ones who were quiet occasionally stealing glances at eachother. As I looked over at Aman and Surbhi, I saw them talking quietly in a corner while eating their breakfast. I turned my head towards Aunty and Uncle, they were discussing something really important as Uncle was nodding No very much.
"Good Morning." My head snapped at the voice as I saw Raghu smile at me and sit beside me. He had just had a shower which was clearly indicated from his wet hair. He was wearing a shirt and jeans. It looked as though he was really free today.
"Good Morning." I replied smiling. I took some bread and put some butter on it.

Later, everyone were almost finishing breakfast. Suddenly, everyone stopped as if time made them pause their actions. Their eyes were behind me. Slowly, I turned to look behind and saw a couple standing there, not pleased to see the family's reactions. As I turned to look at Raghu, his hands were formed in fists as if he was trying to control his... I don't know but maybe, anger.
Uncle and Aunty made their way towards them and greeted them meanwhile no one else moved. Aunty directed her gaze towards Raghu and smiled as if trying to assure him about something and then she called him there and told him something. I saw that Raghu wasn't trying to communicate with them while standing so close to them. He came towards me.
"Let's go, Mom took a doctor's appointment for you." He said as he stole a glance to the new couple. They also had their heads bent low.
"But.. " I tried to say, immediately being cut of by Raghu.
"Trust me Antara, I'll explain." He looked at my eyes and whatever it was, I had no option,but to wait.

Raghu circled his hand on my waist as we made our way towards the door passing the 4 people standing there. I smiled at everyone and turned to leave.

Raghu's Point of View

I got up late and hurried my way to breakfast. I had washed my hair so they were still wet. Dressing myself into a shirt and jeans, I remembered Mom had taken an appointment for her, to consult the doctor. As I closed the door of my room, I made my way towards the dining area and say Antara laughing. Again, it made my heart melt. I smiled.
"Good Morning." I whispered and she turned to look at me. I smiled at her and sat right beside her.
"Good Morning." She replied, again smiling.

As I looked at everyone, they were almost finishing their breakfast. If I didn't speed up, I would be late for the appointment. I looked up again and saw everyone's faces with a look of shock. Antara turned to looked around and saw something which gave her a puzzled look. I turned and saw them. How could they, after so many years, come here? Maybe, they had shifted back, but why? Mom and Dad went and greeted them as my hands were forming in fists at the very sight of them. Finally, I was happy and these people of the past come back. Mom looked at me and motioned me to come there. I went there, but didn't dare to talk much. What if my anger escaped out of my control?
"Raghu, Don't be angry. Go with Antara." I looked over at her as she said this, so they knew they were coming. "I said Go, Go Raghu ". I noddded and walked back to the dining area. No one had moved.
"Let's go, Mom took a doctor's appointment for you." I said and stole a glance at them. They had no shame in coming here.
"But " I knew she wanted to know, but if I tried telling something, I might just explode so I cut her off.
"Trust me Antara, I'll explain." I looked at her intently as she lowered her eyes.

I circled my hand around her waist and turned to leave. They had a confused look on their face, but they didn't say anything.

I stopped when we reached Raghu's car. Just looking at him, I knew I had an impatient look on my face.
"I guess the explanation should start now." Antara said sarcastically.
"I guess no." He said and grinned at me.
"Smart answer, but tell me." She complained as he opened the door for me.
"They are Natasha's parents, Mr. Mohan Singh and Mrs. Padma Singh." He said without even looking at me. Instantly, my hand found his and I held it tightly. He smiled and I left his hand.
"Can I ask you something?" Antara looked at him while he turned the car towards the city.
"You have already, but I don't mind another." Raghu grinned, again.
"Have you ever sat in the metros?" She asked him, just curious about it as it looked that he travelled in his car, mostly.
"Last year." She looked at him, shocked.
"Ok, Leave the car near the first station and we'll go to the doctor in a metro." She said, She really liked travelling in that.
"You're sure?" He asked as his eyes travelled on my stomach and then back at my face.
"Completely Positive." She smiled when he studied her, he really cared about her and the baby. She was surprised the way he took the news of it, but, anyways, this was destiny.

Antara's POV

We neared the station and he parked near so we didn't have to walk much. Raghu bought tickets and we boarded the train. I took a window seat and Raghu sat beside me. Our stop was 15 minutes far so I tilted my head towards Raghu's shoulder and closed my eyes. I felt his hand on my other shoulder which meaned that he had wrapped his arm around me. I was content like that. Maybe, in the end, I could really spend my life with him. He was caring and the ideal life partner anyone could wish.

Raghu's POV

She tilted her head on my shoulder and in trying to make it comfortable for her, I placed my hand on her other shoulder. Suddenly, I wished that I could remain like that forever.
After a while, I gently shook Antara as our stop was arriving. She got up and we made our way to the doctor's.
We were taken immediately, as the Naik were famous.

In the Hospital

"Hello, I'm Dr. Muskan. And you are Raghu and Antara." her accent was english so our names were produced in the same accent. I nodded and she continued. "Antara, We'll do a little blood test to come to know exactly how many days you're pregnant and I'll recommend you a healthy diet. Ok?" Antara nodded and followed her behind a curtain, in a few minutes she was outside and the Doctor again spoke. "Well, you'll have to wait a few minutes and then we'll have a complete check-up." With that, Raghu and Antara walked out at her office as she could atttend another patient for the time being.
Hardly 15 minutes later she called them back.
"Well, Antara you're more than 3 weeks pregnant which is almost a month." said Dr. Muskan. Oh My God! I couldn't believe this Antara thought. Antara was a whole month pregnant and she didn't knew. When did she exactly do the test? Raghu turned to look at her, but instantly, the anger in me finished. Her shocked face was enough to tell me that she too didn't knew the fact that she was almost a month pregnant thought Raghu.

Oh God When, Where? The questions were swarming in her head. How come I never knew about this. It was shocking thought Antara. The doctor seemed to notice it and her words confirmed the fact.
"Didn't you know?" Antara shook her head in a no and, out of nowhere, tears formed in her eyes. Sh*t, why was I so sensitive? The doctor got and told Antara to come with her. She did as she just couldn't face Raghu. The doctor took her behind the curtain and with a soft voice, adressed her in a very motherly way.
"Antara, are you ok?" Doctor asked.
"No." She replied.
"It happens, sometimes people don't come to know about their pregnancy until the 3rd month. It's normal." said Doctor.
"It's not that." She replied. How was I supossed to tell her that from the past month I didn't come to know that I was carrying a child which came from a pure one-night-stand. Antara thought.
"Then what is it?" Doctor asked her in such a way that she broke down. The turn of events had suddenly made her bad infront of herself.
"We... had a... one...one night stand. I... I was.. drunk and... it was my father's... death..death anniversary... that I.." Antara again broke in new sobs and doctor hugged her.
"And you want the child?" Asked doctor and Antara nodded.
"Does he?" Doctor asked.
"I don't know. I never asked him." Antara said.
"Then you should. Now, Buck up. Pregnant ladies shouldn't cry that much." She smiled, but I thought of a different thing now.
"What if he's angry with me? He'll be thinking that I'm a cheap girl that I produced the very next day." I knew that he was going to throw me out of the house and then tell me to go to he**. Before I could think more of the things that could happen to me, Raghu was infront of me. The doctor had vanished and it was only me and Raghu in that little room.
