Wasn't this a very well written and executed episode. The fact the writers have a decent story idea makes it work. You don't feel like dragging and no senseless tracks. Everything has a meaning. And somewhere its all about love and its varied shades.
Raghu- He has truly blossomed , there is a new confidence and swagger to him. The man has finally got a meaning to his life and its Antara. It's like a big burden is off his chest, he has found someone who loves and lives for him. The rakish Romeo is eager and excited to feel every essence of love. He was so adorable while asking for the kiss. There is something so raw and honest about him. I love the fact that he is opening up about his wants and desires after realizing his love. He was a man of few words and barely cracked a smile but now look at his grinning and living every moment. Nothing fazes him when his Miss Call is around.

Antara- This girl is becoming so comfortable with Raghu with each passing day. She didn't outright rejected his idea, her only problem was it was in the middle of the street. Fair enough, I am super happy, she is equally burning with the fire of love.

The fight- Major props to Ayaz and Akshay for pulling it off. They really made it exciting to watch.
I am super happy to see that Raghu didn't let him pass coz of him being DM's son. He took him out and thrashed him. Satya had blood on his face and cut on Raghu's arm , indicated it well- Raghu is going to be pushed to rage by circumstances, he will get hurt but no matter what he will emerge but Satya is going to get the blood in this battle and somehow it will be because of the two women in their life Antara and DM.

The biggest giveaway in the whole confrontation was - "miss kaul ke liye main apni jaan de bhi sakta hoon aur jaan le bhi sakta hoon"... This is the crux of this show, Raghu would do anythign for his Antara. His punch indicated when it comes to Antara he will give his all. She is his jaan in the most truest form. He gave two hoots for Satya being Dm's son during the fight and even when DM arrived he stood his ground. There was a wiff of difiance in his act. This fight was different from their childhood, as now Raghu is a man in love, he has something he holds precious. Satya knows that and will try every trick in the book to hurt Raghu where it hurts most. He has finally found a way to get under his skin! I have this feeling Raghu's biggest challenge won't be DM or her son but Antara and her mom, coz that is the only way he can ever cut himself away from her life when the truth is out

Satya- Hats off to the person who visualized him and I am sure they are going to have plenty of fun carving this role. He is a child who has been deprived of his mother's closeness. His mother has made a roadside orphan her confidant while he, the biological son , has been kept at an arm's length. He feels he has lost his mother to the Daya Mai persona and a lot of it he blames it on Raghu. More than loosing he worried about his mother favoring Raghu. He has grown up probably being a distant second to Raghu in every matter. Nobody respects him for as an individual entity like Raghu but their heads bow coz he is DM's Saheb. There is too much neglect in his childhood. He lives the pain of lacking a motherly love to this date.He nearly makes you sympathize towards him. His scenes while getting the dressing done were brilliant , he really wants to keep that wound and the pain with him as a proof of his immense hate for Raghu and will push him towards the dark side!

DM is the most unfortunate mother. I see her loosing both her sons in this battle against Antara. She is desperate and vulnerable while approaching Satya. She would give anything to make inroads with her own son. But damn for all her efforts her Satya wanted her to be a Daya Mai to him as well. How can she ever let her bad deeds concern her jaan which rests in Satya. I see her going crazy and damn scar pysychotic if anything happens to Satya in the future.
The flashback was interesting- she was decked up and actually seemed loving toward Raghu. Was it all a farce always or there was a moment where she genuinely preferred Raghu. I think either something happened which changed her perspective towards him and she is seeking revenge from someone by slow poisoning Raghu. Bloodlines tie somewhere for sure. Naik Sadan and Raghunath Naik have more in common than what what meets the eye.

Antara - Raghu -- It was such a married couple scene, Antara is really super comfy with bossing Raghu around. Her questions were much needed, Raghu should have answered. But we are forgetting how this man has lived with his scars all alone all these years, he likes to bottle it up. To top it all he feels protective of her as he worries that Satya knows she is his biggest weakness and he is going to go for her just to spite him. He also feels uncomfortable discussing his childhood with anyone. And simply detests making his DM sad due to this fight and Satya's injuries. He had tonnes of emotions running in his head .But he needs to understand that by hiding truth he is making Antara vulnerable for more harm.

Machmach- Big hug young man for giving the character insight about these two guys to Antara.

Last scene- Satya may have figured it out. Good God no dragging , now he can make his move quicker. Antra will be on guard and Raghu offensive. The battle will be epic and the biggest causality at the end will be DM.

Big cheers to the writers, CV and the actors for doing an awesome Job!
P.S. Heard about the kiss, well they are planning to take it to the top before the big crash!

Otherwise, she would have no idea when tomorrow he is gonna appear in her house to make his 1st step of plan successful!!!!😲 Sattya is an emotionally damaged person, he lost his mother many years ago to Raghu and often this kind of emotional damage of loosing someone mentally makes a person cross all his limit to reach the goal coz he is desperate.😭 I don't want to scare anyone but this is the truth. Let's pray for Our Rantara!!!!

I couldn't agree more with you here... why do our loved ones always hide truths from us in a bid to protect us? Antara is not a child, and she has every right to know why Raghu wants her to stay away from Satya. Seriously, Machmach is a hero! I am so glad his character is not reduced into a sidekick as is usually shown in serials. He might joke around, act as a fool, but he is the most devoted friend one could ever hope to have. Both Raghu and Antara are lucky to have him around them.

Satya is desperate, blinded by his hatred for Raghu, and he can no more see the love or care his mother has for him. Ruining Raghu's chance at his happiness has now become his obsession, his junoon! And when that also involves the girl he has been attracted to, this junoon will know no bounds. Satya is a very dangerous villain to have in one's life.

MM is definitely a hero and it's great that he's in Raghu and Antara's corner...I was thinking Antara will never know about the issues between Raghu and Satya, but thank god for small mercies that MM was able to lend some clarity to the situation...After Raghu and Antara he is definitely my favourite character...MM is to Raghu and Antara what Adi was to Geet and Maan in the show Geet

I have absolutely no words to say about your take, because you leave me speechless.

@bold
Glad to know you think the same. DM did care for Raghu at some point in their lives, it seems from the flashback. But something happened later that changed her equations with him. I have always felt Raghu is not Naik just because he was taken in and given that name. I am almost sure he is DM's step son. In last Friday's episode, we saw Raghu and Satya taunting each other.. "bada bhai"- "chota bhai"... I don't think it was just a meaningless taunt. They must be really half brothers.

The number of layers this story seem to have is truly fascinating.

I loved reading each and everyone's review!!! Jyit, yesss those same words were towards DM before but somehow it's come directly from his heart for Antara. Has Antara taken over? I think so.

Genie!! You are too good, gal! You write so well, explaining each and every moment.
The kiss? yes..they are planning to take it right to the top, before it gets snatched before beneath them.

First of all, I would like to congratulate Mr. Gautam Hegde and the rest of the creatives, for successfully boggling my mind, and confusing me beyond my wits. The story, and the web of characters he has woven has left me absolutely flabbergasted, especially after tonight's episode.

I was quite unhappy about the characterization of Dayamai initially, but now, the more I think of her the more she puzzles me. She is a very difficult riddle that I can't seem to solve. The more I think I've almost solved it, something happens that confuses me, and I realize I am as far from the answer as I always was. And when I can't solve a riddle that is put to me, my mind never lets me be in peace. I must say, now I am so gripped to this story that I cannot even think about quitting without getting all the answers.

Coming to the episode, as expected, Antara doesn't give in to Raghu's demands, and manages to escape. I would yet again like to point to the twinkle in the eyes of Raghu when he is with Antara... so much unadulterated joy! He is flying high in the skies! It warms my heart, as well as it pains me, thinking how bad a fall he is going to have, when all this is snatched away from him cruelly. It is going to break him bad, but I have confidence in this hero. The love he has known now, will be the strength of him, it will be his driving force that will motivate him to fight, to grab it back.. He has once lost out to the cruel fate when his mother was snatched away from him, but he won't lose now. His mother was too far out of his reach, impossible to be brought back, but Antara won't be. I am sure he will fight for his love, which is also his zindagi.

As for Antara, she is in for a tough luck as well, the choice that the future is going to present before her. The path she is travelling now leads to a crossroad, and she only can decide which road is to be taken. Once the truth is out, she has to decide how she wants to look at Raghu -as the man indirectly responsible for her father's death, or as the man she is in love with, and loves her back, the one who taught her to live again. It is a tough choice to make, and I cannot even fathom how I would react in her place.

Satya is a very complex character. He was an insecure child, jealous of the boy he thinks is his mother's favourite. It might have started out as any normal sibling rivalry would have. But sadly, Satya hasn't allowed his mind to grow up from his childhood insecurities or jealousy, so much so that Raghu's efforts to make friends with him has gone in vain. His insecurity and rivalry has only grown, now reaching pure hatred for Raghu. He is now obsessed with inflicting pain on Raghu, wanting to snatch anything that Raghu holds dear. Raghu hasn't really had anything precious with him so far that he could snatch, but now that Satya knows the place Miss Kaul holds in Raghu's heart, he'll try anything to snatch that happiness from Raghu. Also, now that he has realized Miss Kaul is none other than Antara, the very girl he himself is attracted to, he will leave no stone unturned to get what he wants. The very thought scares me to no extent!

The fight sequence again reflects a lot into the characters of Raghu and Satya. Satya is absolutely thrilled at any chance he gets to provoke Raghu, while Raghu restrains himself to the maximum extent possible. It is only when Satya talks about his love that he reacts. Both Akshay and Ayaz were very impressive in that scene, and I must applaud Ayaz's dialogue delivery tonight! It was bang on!

I absolutely love watching Machmach and Antara interactions. Machmach's devotion to his friend is very admirable. Antara might have touched Raghu's soul, yet, it is still Machmach who knows Raghu the most, having witnessed the best and worse in his life. Whenever Antara has needed an insight to a behavior of Raghu she cannot understand, it is Machmach who comes to her aid. I loved their scene.

I will come back to DM again. This woman is such an enigma. The DM we saw in the flashback today wasn't really the DM we see now. Till now, I have believed that Raghu is a pawn in her grand plan of things, a weapon she has been honing and sharpening since years. But was it always like that? The Daya we saw in the flashback seemed to have cared for Raghu. Did something happen later that changed her feelings for Raghu? Or was it because we saw it from Machmach's point of view that we don't see it how it really is? I am really very confused.

One thing I know for sure is that she loves her son unconditionally. But somehow, she has failed to be the mother her son wanted her to be. Her son does not care for her anymore, and the one person who regards her the highest, will in future turn against her with a vengeance that would destroy her! Of course, no one would be responsible for her plight then, other than herself.

I can safely say that no other Indian show has intrigued me the way Jaan is doing now. When I started watching, I was expecting only a simple, sweet love story I can watch and forget, but I have been pleasantly surprised time and again! Big applause for the whole creative team of the show, and of course the actors who live the characters, for telling a story that has me so gripped, and one that I will remember forever!

I must admit I always love readin ur analysis!! The way u explain each character is simply fab!!
Completey agree to all ur analysis,I jus want to add one thing here about DM-Satya relationship!! Today durin DM-Satya covo I kinda felt bad for Satya wen DM was insistin Satya to exlain things n that she will understand n to that he replied that 'Uske liye apko pehle Ma banna padega'!! Plz guys don't throw chappals to me for this,bt im jus tryin to analyse Satya's character!! I kinda felt that this guy frm his childhood days is craving for his mothers attention, appreciatiion n time n guess unfortunately he failed to get it (atleast that's wat he thinks!! Exactly wat went wrong even I fail to figure out ) This craving with time made the kid suffer!! Wen he complains to his mom is it nly me who feels that deep down sumwer this guy is sufferin wid lack of love n time with loved ones!! Ofcourse DM loves him bt he has failed to understand that or me maybe DM has failed to show her love to him!! N al these feelings of Satya since his childhood days has carved the personality of Satya that he is today!! The intense hatred that he has for Raghu is nly bcz of his insecurities since childhood days!! Today I kinda felt bad for him n I feel its DM responsible for his insecurities!! Its nt new to ny mother the first child getting insecure of the other, the mother shd know hw to handle her every child with love n care n honestly DM has miserably failed in this!! I sumhw don blame Satya for this,I wd rather blame DM for this!!
N I completely agree to u abt DM's characterisation!! Extermely complicated!! I too got confused watchin the flashback!! There ws care n concern towards Raghu!! There ws a rumour that Raghu n Satya r half brothers!! Is it possible that after adoptin Raghu she later realised that its her husbands n another woman's son?? N later she strts hating him n decides to mk him her permanent slave?? Don understand!! Or its possible as u said that since it ws narrated frm Machmach's point of view that's y it looked as if she cared for Raghu!! Too complicated!!

Thank you!😊

And, yes, you are right about Satya. As a child, I can imagine what he must have been through. I do feel bad for the child who was neglected, probably in his mother's pursuit of becoming Daya Mai who everyone fears. In his point of view, Raghu always took the limelight from him, snatched what was his. However the truth is that Raghu did not snatch anything, he earned it. But of course a child of that age cannot really understand that.

No one is born a villain. They always have a story that made them the way they are, and in Satya's case, it has been his childhood insecurities. He did not let himself grow out of them, and that is where his failure is. Yes, somewhere I do feel a little bad for him, but that does not make me hate him less either.

It is sad that he could never see the real person Raghu is. If only he had taken the hand of friendship Raghu had extended. He would never have been the person he is now. He would have had a real friend, even a brother! In that light, I pity him very much.

Absolutely loved reading each and everyone's analysis. After reading about Satya and Raghu in most of the post my first thought was the current montage. It has two sides of a person, one side is Raghu & the other Satya. If both are half brothers as spoilers indicate, then the same blood runs on both of them. Both lacked a mother's love from childhood but the person they are now is what matters. Raghu though losing his mother took what the world offered him and drew strength from it. For him love has never been anything which is showered on him but the faith DM kept in him. He learned his lessons the hard way and learned everything from experience. He is a born fighter. Satya on the other hand feels he is born with a golden spoon. He wanted his mother to spoon feed him which she didn't. He wanted to be like Raghu but he couldn't. His want was not to be like Raghu but not to share his spoon with him which sadly his mother did. Now he wants his whole spoon back, no sharing anymore. So now I feel the montage is actually two sides of the same coin drawn from the same blood. One weak and the other strong. And the game and the prize here is Antara. The coin has been flipped and we are doing the probability theory here. Heads or tails, any side the prize is Antara. She is the prize standing beside them waiting for which side the coin will fall. I just couldn't help it but see the montage in this angle 😆
Raghu has almost become the Raghu in the promo "Kaun hai vo...meri jaan hai vo, mera sab kuch". He will die for her and kill for her. His every breath is for her and his being is for her. Unknowing to him as well his DM's place is taken by his Ms.Kaul. He would do anything for her.
Though I loved the fight between Raghu & Satya, I was upset after seeing it. Raghu has allowed Satya to see his weakness Antara. Raghu has always been strong but his weakness is Antara and Satya has always been weak but now his strength is Antara. Baazi kis ke haath mein aayegi abh samay hi batayega 😕 The battle has begun...the only plus point now is Antara loves Raghu so his side is still strong but the day she leaves him he loses his battle. I am actually feeling heavy hearted, even the news of the kiss isn't strong enough to lighten up for what is coming.
And finally I am happy that DM is complicated and not for kitchen politics. There are more layers to her and leaves us inquisitive to learn more. And also the fact that whatever the outcome of this battle, nothing is in her favour makes me happy. It is only Rantara who are the ultimate sufferers. 😭

And honestly I didn't see any difference between the flashback of DM and now . Her ideals , her beliefs are still the same , what she said to a small child , Satya is something she still believes today. But that's the thing , Raghu was a laambi race kaa ghoda , he was and still is the threatening underdog who everyone loves. Why wouldn't DM take him up for her dhandaa and make use of him for allof her crime businesses she does . He was always of great potential and obviously he is not blood related to her toh ussey humdardi nahi bhi ho sakti hai and I am saying this from a strictly non emotional point of view . However Raghu was a street child who had nothing but was still given food shelter and the basic necessities of life by her , so obviously she would be his God . It is very very logical. And I completely agree with Antara. This typical male ego that mein sab kuch sehe loonga lekin tumhe kuch nahi bataaongaa pisses me off as well. Arey rishta dono insaan se bantey hai , ek insaan se nahi . So all the difficulties and all the troubles are for both people not just for one , but no . Men toh consider themselves super heroes. -_- . This is where all the roots of misunderstandings happen , when you keep your heroine in the dark and then when she unknowingly takes the wrong step , it becomes all her fault conveniently! typical. -_- . phhhofff. -_-
