Sumitra along with Karan informs the family that they will get Vivek out of jail. Shivani is strictly against it and says that he should be punished for what he has done. The entire family deeply sad because of the incident is not able to understand what Shivani is saying. They don't support her. Sumitra is adamant on getting Vivek out of jail. Shivani as a measure to stop Sumitra tears off the bail papers.
