One week of less sumitra. And our relative position wrt to other zee shows bcome better. TRPs have stopped falling. Now we want her out.

May last week mon-tues-wed there was mostly no Sumitra as it has bus moment and more of RaShi's interaction with Jas-Mahima and co .. she came on thurs and fri I guess with picnic idea ...


But yes trps r steady .. I agree on this ... though it got to increase so that we get our original ratings back which used to b before ...

but having said that CVs off late hv really Toned down Sumitra and we hv less of kitchen politics too ..


Betweeen Yashashri and Puru both names will b added to cast list hopefully by this weekend and we might see the new logo too which features Sumitra 😳

You are her fan so you like watching her. I am not her fan nor do I like her OTT expressions and antics so I dont like watching her. I like those episodes where she has 2-3 min scenes. Hence the concern. As a viewer I am free to express my opinion.

AGREE SUMITRA IS THE REAL FORCE THAT IS LEADING TO THE GOOD TRPs OF DDBEDS.

@May : What I meant was Last week for mon-tues wed the track mainly focussed on RaShi and thats why despite all zee tv shows dropping , our show dint dropp but was stable ... mon was divorce fiasco and RaShi confrontation with Shivani putting her hand on hot diya , Tuesday was bus moment followed by shivani meeting her bhabhi , wed was again Shivani's dream and that bragaining with auto driver followed by those goons attacking her ... so when a week starts with focus on main leads , the trps either remain stable or rise .. in this case it was stable despite the circket matches ...

Point I was trying to make is if start of the week focussed on other characters , then mayb we would hv dropped in ratings too like other shows ... however with CVs working on Sumi's character now and not limiting it to just kitchen politics , I feel trp viewers will slowly but surely accept her too and we might hopefully see a rise in ratings soon

And about cast list , no issues .. its our duty to updt it all .. just that one who updtes is a bit busy and so its taking time ...

She was in all the episodes last week. Last week started with divorces papers fiasco. But she only had one scene in Wednesday's episode. Sumitra's scenes are more focused towards Maa Ji and Maya now. Keeping her away from Rashi. Then we also had Puru's entry and people will be curious about that too. YM fans are also glad that the CVs have made Sumitra more subtle.

PEOPLE LOVE TO SEE THE ELEGANT STROKEPLAY OF A SACHIN OR sOURAV BUT THEN YOU SOMETIMES NEED A PINCH HITTER LIKE YOUSUF PATHAN WHO COMES IN AND SMASHES SIXES AND GETS THE JOB DONE. SIMILARLY WHILE WE ALL LOVE RASHI ROMANTIC MOMENTS SUMITRA COMES IN TO BOOST UP THE TRPS

Mahabharat witnesses surge in viewership in Week 15 of TAM 2014. Encounter on Sony opens at 2.4 TVM while Naadan Parindey on Life OK launches at 2.6 TVM

The game of dice leading to Draupdi's cheer haran' took Mahabhart at its peak viewership and helped Star Plus clock the highest GTVMs ever achieved by any channel in Indian Television History. As Mahabharat entered the top-5 club with 9.1 TVM, Star Plus' other shows Diya Aur Baati Hum, Saathiya and Saraswatichandra also performed exceptionally well.

According to TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 15 of TAM 2014 (April 6 - April 12) CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus' dominance in the weekday programming grew further with higher viewership for its seven shows in top-10. Zee TV too witnessed surge in viewership of its weekday shows and the channel secured two slots in top-10 club. SAB's Tarak Mehta continued to be in the top-10 club.

Weekend programming was clearly dominated by Colors with Comedy Nights with Kapil at the top followed by Khatron Ke Khiladi. Special episode of Comedy Nights with Kapil with Amitabh Bachchan as the guest continued to do well on Sunday and rated 11 TVM.

Among new shows launched this week, Encounter on Sony opened at 2.4 TVM while Naadan Parindey on Life OK launched at 2.6 TVM.

Weekday toppers (all data in TVM, 000000's)

1) Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus strengthened its leadership with 13.4 TVM this week (last week 11.9 TVM).

2) Star Plus' Saathiya also witnessed surge in its viewership. The show fetched an average viewership of 10.7 TVM (last week 9.8).

3) Jodha Akbar on Zee TV too grew to 9.3 TVM (last week 8.9 TVM).

4) Star Plus' epic series, Mahabharat, jumped 3 positions to No. 4. It garnered 9.1 TVM this week (last week 6.6 TVM).

5) Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was the fourth show from Star Plus in top-5 club. It garnered an average viewership of 7.9 TVM (last week 7.7 TVM). SAB's Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma slipped one position to No. 6 with an average viewership of 7.9 TVM (last week 7.4 TVM).

6)Veera on Star Plus was at No. 7 position with an average viewership of 6.7 TVM (last week 6.9 TVM).

7) Star Plus' Saraswatichandra made a comeback in top-10 club at No. 8 this week by garnering 6.6 TVM (last week 4.9 TVM).

8) Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se on Zee TV entered the top-10 club with an average viewership of 6 TVM (last week 5.1 TVM).

9) Pyaar Ka Dard Hai on Star Plus was at No. 10 with an average viewership of 5.8 TVM (last week 6.3 TVM).

Weekend toppers

Comedy Night with Kapil on Colors fetched an average viewership of 9.1 TVM in Week 15 (last week 9.7).

Colors' flagship show Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi dropped to 6 TVM (last week 7.1).

Sony's crime series, CID, fetched 4.8 TVM against last week's 5.4 TVM.

Dance India Dance L'il Masters Season 3 on Zee TV dropped to 3.9 TVM this week (last week 4.3 TVM).

Fear Files on Zee TV fetched 2.7 TVM against last week's 2.8 TVM.

Sony's second crime show, Crime Patrol, garnered 2.6 TVM (last week 2.9).

Hatim on Life OK fetched 2.3 TVM (last week 2.3).

Encounter on Sony opened at 2.4 TVM and averaged at 2.2 TVM.

Life OK's Shapath recorded 2.1 TVM (last week 2.8).

Mon-Fri 8:30 pm: With highpoint in the story, Star Plus' epic show Mahabharat' scaled a new high, becoming the slot leader for the first time. Mahabharat' averaged at 9.1 million (6.6 million in the last week). Incumbent slot leader Tarak Mehta' (SAB) increased its average to 7.9 million, from 7.4 million. The average viewership of Zee TV's Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se' increased to 6.0 million (5.1 million), while Madhubala' (Colors) dropped to 3.0 million (from 3.2 million). SET's Ek Nayi Pehchan' remained constant at 1.3 million.
