Star Plus' popular show, Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions) gets an extension!!

Yes, the show which has become iconic to the viewers' eyes, will enjoy a brief extension before it bids adieu.

Earlier, reports about Diya Aur Baati Hum going off air on 15 August made headlines.

We now hear that the channel has granted a one month extension to the show, which means the cult show will likely be on air till mid September.

A source states, "This does not stop the makers from adding interesting tracks. The show has had a great run, and there is also a likelihood of it getting further extensions if there is an increase in the ratings in the next few months."

Accordingly, the story will dwell into the life of Sooraj (Anas Rashid) and Sandhya (Deepika Singh), the proud parents of a newly born daughter...

We tried calling Producer Sumeet Mittal to know more about the plans ahead, but did not get through to him.

We also buzzed the channel, but did not get any revert.
