@Sonali I am fine with the story as of now. Yes it is the story that still keeps me to DABH. But that yearning to watch SURYA scene, how I used to run to my computer after the show is done, then put on daily motion and watch the scenes again and again. Well that is not there anymore.
I don't remember a SURYA scene which I have watched more than once post IPS. While watching epi it is fine, I have no complaints.
Also see my DP. SURYA used to adorn it for quite a long time. Since the story became family oriented and since there are no turmoils in their relation I switched to another Jodi.
Basically for romance pain has to be there. We have to feel the pain of lead pair to connect and feel happy once they overcome the struggle together.
For that once again we need a lonely battle for SURYA. SURYA on one side and the world on other.
Coming to symbolism I felt it is indicating towards what I was thinking for long. Between family and wife the choice is coming Sooraj's way.

but as in the story also he is injured we can excuse his tired expression of you all referring

For me the scene was ok Sandhya spoke her heart out and so Suraj
It is much😛 much better than hide and seek and snake and ladder
