We DABHians always complain about how Sandhya is wrongfully blamed for everything. Most recently, she was blamed for the conditions that resulted in the old haveli being set on fire. Like fellow DABHians, I also found this accusation to be ridiculous at first. But after some details of a parallel story-line was leaked to me, I had to reconsider my position. Confused? Well, let me share the leaked information here, and you'll see what I mean:
Remember in the first episode when Young Sandhya threw a cup of ink on the corrupt government officer?
Here's what happened after that event:
Young Sandhya throws ink on the government officer
Officer's shirt is all messed up
He gives it to local dhobi ghaat for washing
Dhobi accidentally rips the shirt trying to get the stain out
The angry and corrupt officer abuses his power by beating the dhobi
Dhobi falls on his hand and injures his wrist
Without his wrist, dhobi can't wash clothes resulting in financial instability
Dhobi's son wants to help the family, so he drops out of school and looks for work
No education means no job, so the son is forced into illegal activities
During a gang-fight, the son accidentally shoots and kills Apu, an innocent bystander
Apu's younger brother, Sanjay, finds out and vows to take revenge
Sanjay makes Angaara Bhai his mentor, and gets training to be a killer
Angaara Bhai, a serial arsonist, teaches Sanjay everything about setting things on fire
After the training, Sanjay kills dhobi's son's family by burning down their house
Fearing the police, Sanjay runs away to a village and starts a new life
He gains Thakur's trust and becomes his khaas henchman!
If you haven't figured it out by now .. this is Sanjay:
Old habits die hard, and he hadn't set anything on fire for so long! So when he saw Emily's slipper outside the haveli, he quickly seized the opportunity and set the haveli on fire!
So you see .. if Sandhya hadn't thrown the ink on the corrupt officer, these innocent kids wouldn't have been trapped in a burning building for the entire weekend! 😳
So next time we hear Bhabo, or Maasa, or Meena, or Chavi, or Mohit, or Maasa's DIL #1, or Maasa's DIL #2, or the paan waala in Hanuman gali, or .. (.. well .. you get the point), next time we hear any of them blame Sandhya for everything, we shouldn't accuse them of making mindless allegations! 😳
I hope we all learned a lesson today! 😳
