i was expecting more from rain sequence ...but its alright..alll in hands of cvs what we can do...and nice thread...beautifuly made...loved it.

@Uma, I am puzzled too seeing Emily's well-off family and her working in parlor in daytime and studying in the night college. The first thing that comes to my mind is CVs made change in Emily's track by themselves or by visiting the forum. The other one is this is their big festival and they may have made it a grand occasion irrespective of their financial state.

Barathi aka, do they really visit the forum? I know Anas does from his interviews 😉...even if they visit, will they use our ideas? 😕 I was told by one of my old friends from another forum that a popular serial's storyline went to the drain because of constant demands from young fans to change the storyline whenever a track began 😕 (though our members here are wiser and their ideas are really good, will they take our opinion? ) furthermore, popularity of DABH in terms of TRP is not reflected in IF, we rarely get into the top 10 here, but TRP wise we are one of the strongest 😊...also there was a time almost all of us here were unhappy/complaining about something in the storyline/sequence during the spore track, and the TRP for the week was 5.9 😆 I still remember that 😆

and regarding Emily, I thought she owns the parlour 😕 😕

just loved the rain sequence & surya's romance and hats off to sooraj wow he is doing so much for sandy's dream this is called true love a true life partner not a joru ka gulam loved them

Niruba, they might visit though not sure.

Regarding fan pressure, I agree with the demand for change in tracks or nonacceptance of replacement as it is clearly evident in abrupt closing of IPK. It is very sad for the sake of one actor deciding to quit for a bigger project, others forced to lose their job (no offense IPK fans, it is my opinion).

TRP audience mainly focus on drama, story line and many other nonrelated things that keep them hooked to show. My sister does not like DABH but watches other shows for costumes, style, etc. She often keeps telling me about Avantika's (PKDH) sarees and the draping style and about some other leads.

I just hope our CVs continue with the flow of the story and are not pressurized by TRP. Looking forward to night college drama.

Niruba, I thought she worked there. When Suraj goes to get the necklace, did they not say something to that effect. I am not clear on this issue however. TRP being 5.9 is not reflected by our viewing. So I also think they may not take our ideas. Only if the people's meter is installed in the house( it is in the house of one of my cousins in Delhi) and those people watch the show TRPS increase or decrease. TRPS are only sample surveys like exit polls in elections.

Uma, I have a doubt regarding TRPs. Only 4 major cities have been fully digitalized or set-top box made compulsory. It is not made compulsory yet in our city and I do not use set-top box, just ordinary cable. Do we account for TRP audience.

barathi aka, I also hope they just carry on with what they have planned instead of getting pressurized by the TRPs ...if they start making changes, there will be more bloopers Bhabo was supposed to go to Maasa's village, but that got delayed and this honeymoon thing came in, and remember the sweet that Suraj made on that night? i'm sure it will get spoilt before bhabo goes to the village 😆

UMDUji, I'm also not sure abt Emily either, my Hindi is not good so maybe I got it wrong...I thought she owns the parlour and works there as well 😕

My cousin lives in GK-2 in Delhi. In his house there is a people's meter attached to the set top box which records the time and the channel you watch. He told me when I went last year that there are around 5500 such meters installed in different parts of India and TRPS are calculated on the basis of that. If such a meter is not there in your house your viewing makes no difference to them in TRP terms. Suppose they want to watch DABH at 9, they have to switch on that channel I think 5 minutes or so early not exactly at 9 as the meter starts a bit early something like that. To cut the long story short unless you have that meter in your household which they choose and randomly install our watching makes no difference to them. Even I was not aware of this. Got to know last year only. He also told me that NDTV has filed a case against this as they say TRPS are manipulated by channels.

@ Niruba Maybe you are right. I went back to the episode and it is not clear in that as well. That makes more sense to me. If she owns the parlour then night college gets justified.
