I do not think it is a filler. No matter what, gals cannot hear someone pointing fingers at parents, even if they were wrong. She accepted her fate bec of this.

I am more disappointed as they wasted such a solid confrontation over a dream , mana she stopped thinking about that , and not about wat next after she says everything and walks away ... but again , theme says he will support her in future, so if she walks away, she has to come back to In laws as that wat our culture says
