FF Index...guud idea but a PROBLEM...

hey all,

i was thinkin FF index is a gr8 idea..

n tanxxx to catwoman n dmg_sonia dat its being created....

but a problem is dere....

wen we'll post the new parts...

how will ppl get t know....

dey'll hav to open d FF index sticky topic n dey'll hav t keep chkin it...

i think if we c from dis point of view...its bad...

if we'll post sum new part den how will ppl get t know...

as every1 will not keep visiting the index na....

or r u js creating the index...

n den if we post den it'll b same as like abhi hota hai...????

teme r u just creatin d index so dat all FF ke links r dere...n it'll b easier...

we decided 2 prepare the index becoz of many reasons
firstly visit this link : http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=785758
plus if any new member joins DMG, it will be easy for them to find the ffs
there r many more reasons due to which we thought of the index
n ur pt is also right, we all can 2gether find a solution 2 it

so pplwill again n again chk the index n den dey'll read my part n dey'll get t know dat my fanfic mein ek new part add hua hia...

js name d topic as FF index n make it a sticky n den add all d FF links dere...

n after dat if i'll post sumthin on my FF den like normally it cums on the 1st page..jaise abhi aata hai....woh ho jayega...

ok im kidnda lost but ill suggest something 😃

When you have updated your FF.. its a good idea to PM all those hu read ur FF with the page and link of the new chapter so that way its easier for readers to read it too as they have it in a PM with a link..

Howver there should be only a limit as to how many FFs can be allowed here by one member, so one member han have 2 FFs goin the rest they want to make can go to the FF section.. that way they can still write what they wish....

To make a index [this is what i think you mean if not sorry 😳 ] it would be easier to gatyher all the FFs name and member IDs and then put it in one post under alphabetical order..

Example:

A

--- All the members with the letter A FFs here..

B

--- All the members with the letter B FFs here..

C

--- All the members with the letter C FFs here...

And so on..

Then when a member has completed the FF there should be another post with the completed FFs in alphabetcoal order..

Then everyone hu starts or completes the FF MUST contact the person hu made the alphabetical thread so they can add the FF.. that way the forum is kinda clean and not all jumblled..

rhea u know every coin has two sides, ff index also has 2 sides

u saw naa in the link, dhvanisoni said yeah...i get sooo confused with the store=ies...i don even remember which fic I read the last and which part and i have left reading some fis half way through cuz I donno where i stopped reading

after all the dmg ff writter post their link there i n kat will ask the moderator to make it a sticky n whenever u post the new part u can edit there that u hav posted new part soo this problem will also be solved

nice suggestion, one member can hav 2-3 fics at one time only

thats wat i want 2 say, we should know all fics name n link, soo that the readers dont hav 2 go hunting the pages to find the fanfic, they can easily find them
