Hyderabad: Police have registered a case against Telugu actor and former TDP MP Mohan Babu for allegedly assaulting his co-star Shilpa Shivanand. Mohan Babu allegedly slapped Shivanand, sister of popular Telugu actress Sakshi Shivanand, while shooting for a film in a Jubilee Hills studio, Jubilee Hills police station sources said. Shilpa's crime, apparently, was that she could not get a kissing scene right. She told a TV news channel that she was dragged by the hair and slapped by Mohan Babu after she allegedly bungled the scene with his debutant son. Shilpa's mother Parveen Sultana also received a few blows when she tried to intervene. The actress, in her police complaint, alleged that Babu assaulted her and her mother without any provocation.

Shilpa features in the popular Coke ad where Aamir Khan pulls bottles out of a well to quench her thrist.
