Did anyone else sense the pain in Sid's voice when he asked if Riddhima would give him "ek aur" gift?
The second gift after the "adultery act"? Was this what he was referring to? I dont know.
What I do know, is that everytime these two characters are put on my screen, I fall into their world. For the first time today, Sid didn't seem warped under Riddhima's spell. He was awake and in full confidence insisting that she moved on. He was the epitome of strength and courage. Had he used this same strength and courage in his marriage when Riddhima was beginning to adapt to him could his marriage have succeeded? Anyways, whilst watching these scenes I had goosebumps. I was in awe of the depth of this character - just when you thought he couldnt get better he beautifully extends his barrier to this all new high that no other fictious character has reached for me. Wow.
What was even more soul touching was that his strength, his courage, his confidence for one split second broke, shattered and tore his heart apart for the few seconds that Riddhima hugged him and he wept like a baby who had his favourite toy snatched away from him and knew he was never going to get it back again.
Then within the same few seconds he flipped back to the new Sid. Wow.
Isn't it adorable that he wore his white shirt to go and see Riddhima? The same white shirt she told him he looked good in when he was going to see his proposal for marriage (Naina).
You would have to be blind if you didnt see the regret that was pouring out of Riddhima's eyes. The pain was heart wrenching but only when Sid was in the scene. When Karan Wahi left the scene, for some reason I didn't connect with Riddhima, her pain had vanished, her tears didn't matter to me at all. It was either the fact that I didn't want to believe that this was the last of them or the hope that this will not be their final scene together as a couple.
Nevertheless, I've been writing a post every day now and everytime I sign off I think it will be my last but Sid's character is so beautifully put together and the chemistry between the pairing is so magical that I can't help but express the emotions that run through my body when I see these two together on screen.
Well done guys, I really hope you dont give up on him Riddhima
