After every one month Riddhima is shown confused as hell as to whom she wants.

Even if it is fictional there has to be some reality check because they are shown as human characters living on a planet called Earth and are based in a country named India. Even if the storyline is narrated to urban, modern, newly married women of today they too disagree with Ridhima's confusion.

There are many women who do have a love story of the past and have been married to a completely different man and are staying very much happily married. To keep running after ex such woman are looked down upon and so in this case Ridhima and Arman cannot be glorified!

Yesterday I made a topic based on the promo and here it is

Ridhima an Individual: Not Sid's or Arman's Ridz

I basically felt (if the promo were true) that she is still in the process of falling for Sid, but her feelings for Arman are much greater and hence she should be released.

Today's epi confused me and had to take lot of time to understand it. I initially thought it will be an hurridely edited/changed episode like that on Sid-Ridz remarriage day. That day's episode tried its best to undo the effect that was created in the earlier episodes (which clearly showed she moved on completely) and was not completely sucessful in showing that Ridz is still confused. This is the result of last minute change in the storyline. Today from the news I heard earlier, I thought today's episode will also be a badly edited episode due to once again last minute changes in the story line.

But to my eyes, it does not look so. Except that they might have removed some extra scenes, but the essence was same as that was planned before.

Now coming to the main pont of this post. When Ridz was preparing herself to be loyal/truthful to her marriage, i thought she was kind of forcing herself to Accept Sid. But after she delivered her first ILU to Sid, she was just lost in Sid. All that force dissappeared and she truly lived in the moments that passed later, which she thought were b/w her and Sid. Even her second sentence of the ILU appeared really involved one and I felt has come from within her heart, even though the first one appeared a little forced. So, it looks like she is still not completely aware of her feelings towards Sid and hence has to slightly force herself in the begining, but once she crossed the first barrier she could do it more easily because of her genuine feelings towards Sid. I feel her continuous distrubance from Arman is a reason for her non realization of depth of her feelings.

So, I strongly feel that she loves Sid also. Yes, I added also in the end. Because, I feel right now, she is in the process of coming out of her feelings towards Arman and shifting those feelings towards Sid. She is in a phase where her feelings of Love toward Arman are slightly changed towards that of extreme concern, worry for him etc. She is still not completely out of love towards Arman, but is quite close to it. Similarly she is not completely aware of her feelings towards Sid, but is quite close to realizing it (if there are no further forced situations).


In this kind of mixed frame work, which happens in a transition phase, she encountered a big shock. The person whom she confessed and the person who took away her breath was not Sid, but Arman. This completely unsettled her. And as Lennie says, before she recomposed herself, she was lead to her beautiful past by Arman. She was lost in her past and hence that moment of lapse.

But the moment she is back to the present (via the bracelet), she backed off. She definitely does not want Arman further in her life. It is not because of social pressure. Yes, today I am convinced. Then why ? Because she felt more secure with Sid. Yes this is the truth. And this truth is reflected in her sentence "I will not allow Arman to ruin my life again". In nutshell, today, the present day, even though she loves both the guys to a similar extent, she prefers Sid because she is more secure with him. She feels safe with him and does not want to loose these safe feelings. She does not want to be with Sid because of Social pressure, but because of security.

And why that insecurity ? Simple. If a person takes big decisions on your behalf and does not even give you chance to express your opion you really dont feel secure with that person. This topic I discussed more in my previous post
