Times are changing;Embrace the DMG possible twist!

Once again the creatives of the show Dil Mil Gaye have most likely decided to insert a twist. Whether it's for the better or the worse, solely depends on one's point of view. Fuze already presented the point of view from which a lot of SRians and ArShians are seeing this possible track but now let's look at it from another side. To be more specific, let's try to explore the reasons as to how ARians justify this track and why they think it would not be as scandalous as others are making it sound.

Sid and Riddhima's marriage was a scandal to begin with; Riddhima was forced into this so called bond because of a body heat scene. Being a medical show, one would think, the doctors would view body heat as a treatment and not as rape and a reason to get them married. Before she was emotionally blackmailed into marrying Sid, Riddhima cried rape in front of the "society." However, no one cared and practically married her off to her "rapist." To be honest, that basically made a mockery of marriage and the sacred bond.

Coming to the possibility of expected extra marital affair, first off one shouldn't jump to the conclusion that there will be an affair judging from a 30 second promo. Anyway if the affair does happen, it won't be the first time Indian Television will show it and certainly won't make the audience go jump on the affair bandwagon. Did people start having more affairs after Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna? Absolutely not, it just spread a little more awareness on the topic. Also since when did audience really care about morals? StarOne's most popular show at the moment, Geet, is shown promoting a budding romance between a man and a woman who is pregnant with his brother's son. Does anyone find that a little unethical? I am sure someone does but as long as the couple's chemistry is acceptable no one will voice his/her opinion.

Not only fiction but real life has many examples of the fact that extra marital affairs are part of everyday life and it's not as scandalous and rare as some people might think. Just to name a few examples, Amitabh and Rekha, Saif and Kareena. Do people go around raising their fingers at them? No, people decided to put it past them and get on with their lives. All in all if two people are meant to be then they will get together even if they need to have an affair then get a divorce to do so.

Also as for the question of Shilpa and Armaan story, well I would hardly call it a love story. It was one-sided to begin with and Armaan never acknowledged her more than a friend. Therefore the new twist won't really be doing "injustice" to them. It won't be wrong to turn Sid evil either because it will justify the story and make it more acceptable for the skeptical bunch. Not to forget the current storyline of DMG is actually non-existance so it would be good to have some twist and new drama in the show which will surely help the TRPs. Audience always appreciates a good, dramatic story plot. Therefore Amita Devadiga might be on to something good and might have found the gold pot. DMG is taking the Love Aaj Kal turn and it will work in their favor. The show has always been a hit with the youth and in the middle with all the SR marriage drama it lost its youth feel. If DMG shows a bold concept that was introduced in Love Aaj Kal then it will have it's youth charm back. In the movie, Deepika's character got married but at the end she chose to go back to her ex and lived happily ever after. If it can be accepted in LAK then why not DMG. Now all audience can do is wait and see if DMG and Amita go through with this exciting and sure to be a hit track.
