Yep .. He has lost all hope .. And most probably he feels that it would be better to distant himself from her, so when she leaves him (after his injury is okay ..) it may hurt less .. As it is he has no hopes of Riddhima staying back .. He is stuck onto Armaan .. Armaan this .. Armaan that .. Your boyfriend this that ... Thats all he does .. So basically he needs to become comfortable around Armaan just like Riddhima has and maybe this is the reason for the Dostana track .. So that he can see that Riddhima is his and only his ..
