Hey poco.....nice post....... I love the title.....
I like how you compared R to being thrown in the ocean...it is like that is it not.. that when someone is drowning ..they will instinctively fight for their life.....its human nature....and she did.....
Although to me Sid is a very good example of a man....I still feel that he should have stopped the wedding......
Giving Ridhimma the choice......I accept and I am all for it
But when he knew what was hapenning was wrong...he should have stood up even if it were just for the sake of right vs wrong.......
All said and done... yeah...no man is perfect...but atleast we know his heart is in the right place.....he is most certainly a hero in his own right...even heroes are not perfect
Someone rightly said:
Nobody is perfect and a true hero may be the least perfect of all.

Hmmm... I can see where you are coming from, Buffy. Sid has taken a decision but he must know that what is happening is not under his control.

We come back to square one.

If Sid stopped the wedding and Armaan looked furiously at him and questioned him , what would have Sid said?

You remind me of that famous scene from the film 'Spiderman' where the hero is told by the villain....

"People love to see a hero fail."

And looking around I understand exactly what he meant.

Hi Poco, may I add to your reply to Eveline? I think that to analyse DMG characters (especially the main ones) you have to apply least square fits to their characters; average out the extremes. All lead characters have had their share of crazies which i attribute to poor writing and planning on the part of the writers of the show. They introduce unusual twists due to factors like an actor leaving the show or being unavailable, viewers demands etc, and then they do not know how to come out of these situations resulting in characters behaving totally out of character. Examples are Armaan writing letters with his blood, smashing mirrors; Riddhima's act before she sets out to find Armaan and Sid's meanness towards Riddhima after their marriage. If you want to analyse these characters it is better to keep these acts of craziness aside. If you started focussing on these things you would really want to go and punch their faces :)
When you are watching a child learning to ride a bike, if you dont let go of the bike, the child will never learn, if you run to them the moment they fall, they will never tough it out or gain confidence. Your instincts may be to protect the child but if you did it wont do them any good. Similarly, if Sid intervenes now he'll protect Riddhima from the embarrassment but right now it is she who needs to speak up. Also as Poco said that way he takes away the freedom of choice from her. (Btw, I havent watched todays episode). Also this whole business of Riddhimas remarriage is one of the crazies I mentioned above. Better to be looked over. :)

Sorry for such a long post. I havent watched todays episode so cant comment on that.

Are you from a channel or a production house? Parul, this is a dilemma that only a creative can understand.😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆....this is exactly what happens. During the silliest of tracks ( which pop out because of most ridiculous reasons and brainwaves), the characters suffer a multiple personality disorder and it takes ages to rectify the damage. I am so glad you see that perspective. 😳

Hi Nitica, me again. I am a scientist; the least square fitting of characters should have given it away :) Btw, I added a few lines to my previous post although they are not as relevant. I really wanted to say only the first part.

Simply and aptly put, Parul. I hope SR understand that why the other one did what he/she did.

Scientist?????????????????????????.....*bows to the intelligent lady*

I am a writer, hehe.

Hey Nitica, the fact that you are a writer shows in your posts. Very well written and fair. Your intelligence shows in your psychological analysis of characters, your clear thoughts and your non bias.
