Hi Poco, may I add to your reply to Eveline? I think that to analyse DMG characters (especially the main ones) you have to apply least square fits to their characters; average out the extremes. All lead characters have had their share of crazies which i attribute to poor writing and planning on the part of the writers of the show. They introduce unusual twists due to factors like an actor leaving the show or being unavailable, viewers demands etc, and then they do not know how to come out of these situations resulting in characters behaving totally out of character. Examples are Armaan writing letters with his blood, smashing mirrors; Riddhima's act before she sets out to find Armaan and Sid's meanness towards Riddhima after their marriage. If you want to analyse these characters it is better to keep these acts of craziness aside. If you started focussing on these things you would really want to go and punch their faces :)
When you are watching a child learning to ride a bike, if you dont let go of the bike, the child will never learn, if you run to them the moment they fall, they will never tough it out or gain confidence. Your instincts may be to protect the child but if you did it wont do them any good. Similarly, if Sid intervenes now he'll protect Riddhima from the embarrassment but right now it is she who needs to speak up. Also as Poco said that way he takes away the freedom of choice from her. (Btw, I havent watched todays episode). Also this whole business of Riddhimas remarriage is one of the crazies I mentioned above. Better to be looked over. :)
