You all speak about culture as if it is some coherent whole that cuts across boundaries of class etc. What is the definition of Indian culture anyways, is it not forever changing? What is it to your modern average day indian, what is it to upper class elite?
To say that this is indian culture and this is why people should conform to it, is merely ignorance in an everchanging society. What was considered taboo may be okay now, or vice versa. Take having a polygmous marriage for example, which was fine at one point.
Then again, some of you need to take a course in anthropology, instead of carrying on to your socialized boxes of reality and the questionable ways in which you live by it.
