With Angie his relationship is completely different... he gives his 100% but really hasn't really asked too much in return... asking for love?? What is wrong in feeling so.. but he has never complained.. and always being content in what little Angie has given in return.. but he will never hesitate in giving more...
I am loving how Angie is warming up to him.... awesome.. really needed to see this between AA!!!

Awww! Thank you so much...You know, it warmed my heart so much just to see that scene between Atul-Anjali today...I was miserable, yes, but underneath all the concern for Riddhima and Armaan, this is bringing Anjali and Atul closer. She already knows that Atul is there to support her and help their friends also (hence the dialogue: "Tumhe hamesha ideas aate rehte hai, ab kyun nahi aa rahe?'). Turning to Atul for help is something that she wouldn't have done unless the problem was beyond her control...She is usually strong enough to take control of things, but in this case both Shashank and Riddhima's individual decisions cannot be overpowered...At the end of it all, even if Anjali turns to Atul for support as a friend would, the bond between them is becoming stronger day by day.
Atul's deep love for Anjali is something that drew me to their story instantly...The fact that he knew that she harbored no feelings for him (plus the fact that they even disliked each other at the beginning of the show), which then became friendship - I always admired how Atul gave Anjali so much love without her even realizing it.
Like you said, he never asked for anything in return. The result? She took him for granted until the poolside confession happened...That threw things off-balance for a little while, until Atul pulled himself together; I suppose he decided that maintaining a friendship with her would be better than severing all ties with her. Even after that, he continued loving her, which is something that most other men would not even think of.
For Atul, loving Anjali is something that cannot be taken away from him...(Thinking about AA's relationship ALWAYS reminds me of his parents' relationship in Sanjivani...Chitra (Omi's wife) was just like Atul...They are similar in more ways than one, in fact, but their undying devotion for their loved ones is what stands out to me the most.
I have veered off-topic for quite a while now, so I will stop. 😊 What can I say? From Sanjivani/Shashank-Smriti/Omi-Chitra to DMG/Atul-Anjali...I can't help but see the connections, even if they were not intentional! 😉
